Varun Khandelwal plays Big Brother

Varun Khandelwal aka Deepu did some typical heroic stuff on the sets of Imagine's Jyoti.

According to our source, "Shreenidhi Shetty (who plays Sushma) got so tired and weak on the sets that she collapsed. When she had to walk to a nearby set, Varun seeing her weak condition carried her to the sets."

We spoke to Varun who says, "Yes it's true. The temperatures were too cruel and we had been shooting from early morning. I think she did not have enough stamina so she passed out. She is the baby on our sets. She calls me bhaiyya and everyone including me pamper her. So when she fainted we were all on high-alert. And I didn't let her walk in that heat. It was just a mere 200 yards but given her condition I wanted her to save all of her energy."

So why did Shreenidhi faint? To this Varun says, "When she fainted our unit people immediately summoned the doctor who cited the reason as vitamin deficiency and exhaustion."

Apparently, Varun is quite experienced when it comes to lifting girls. "Off-screen I've lifted a lot of girls, but never in such a state of shock. And on-screen I haven't had a chance yet," he sniggers.
