"My brother is very protective"- Shikha Singh

As brother and sister all over are celebrating Rakshabandhan with fun and enthusiasm our TV actors are nonetheless they too are celebrating this festival in full swing.

We got in touch with Shikha Singh who plays Aliya in Zee TV's show Kumkum Bhagya to know her bonding with her brother. It has been seen that Shikha shares a great with on-screen brother Abhi (Shabbir Ahluwalia) let's see how is her bonding with her real brother. 

Talking about her brother Shikha says, "My Bhai is most innocent yet very protective brother, he is funny in his own way but strict also. He is very elder to me, we have a difference of nine years so he is like a father to me."

Recollecting her memories she says, "We used to jog and walk together, while jogging he used to cheat by taking shortcut routes . He is a father figure to me and I have learnt driving car looking at him, I used to listen to songs which he used to like. We have spent some funny, sad,  happy and emotional moments together."

Is Shikha expecting a gift from her brother? "We have grown up in a family where we never had system or culture of gifting, its like if someone likes something they can go in the market and buy it. So whenever I go home my brother asks me what do you want and I always say nothing then he takes me to the market and if I like something he piks it up for me. The only thing which I want from him is to take care of his health," she avers.

Sharing her Raksha Bandhan memories she says, "I remember during our childhood days when we were not earning during Raksha Bandhan our mom and dad used to give us money. Agar 100 Rs hote the to usme se 50 wo rakh lete the and I used to catch him that he is cheating. Because of my brother I developed habit of listening to Jagjit Singh songs. My friends ask me why do you listen to Jagjit Singh's songs I answer them that's because of my brother."
