"I was a teacher before being an actor " Ankita Sharma

Tomorrow is Teacher's day. A day dedicated to all the teachers as a thanks giving day to them which appreciates their hard work for helping us into being the well educated person that we are today.

As teacher's day is around the corner and on the same we got in touch with a very well-known actress who was a teacher in real life before getting into acting profession. She is Ankita Sharma who has done shows like Amrit Manthan, Baat Humari Pakki Hai, Sawaare Sabke Sapne - Preeto and Agle Janam Mohe Bityaan Hi Kijo.

About her journey of being a teacher Ankita said, "I was a dance teacher before I took up acting as my career. I accidentally became a teacher just like I accidentally became an actor. It so happened that I used to learn Kathak and from my classes we were assigned to teach dancing in various school, and this is how I became a dance teacher. It was a great experience and I used to love teaching dance to my students."

Currently she is teaching dance to few kids for an initiative which is held for a cause, "Even now I am training few kids into dancing. It is basically for a cause that we are taking this initiative to teach the kids. I along with my group of friends have joined hands to come up with this thought for which we are working really hard and meanwhile enjoying it too. There will be a show happening in Mumbai where these kids will be seen performing and if they do good and the show too does good then the show might happen all over India."

She shares about her favorite student when she was teacher, "Eshaan Hilal was and is my favorite student. I still remember the incident when he left his home only because he wanted to perform in my show in which I was teaching the dance in one of the event in school. He was a Muslim and his father did not allow him to perform the classical dance form Kathak, which made him to leave his house. I felt really bad for him but then it is the way of life. My good wishes are always with him."

Ankita was a teacher's pet too, "I was a teacher's pet too when I was in school. Miss Kohli was my sports teacher and she used to admire and adore me a lot. When I became a teacher, I  was very much inspired by her and followed her foot steps. This teacher's day I would love to thank her for all her teachings that have helped me."

Her message for the students, "Teachers are a guiding light in one's life and people should respect them for their efforts which they take to educate us and learn the morals and values in our life. There are many students who disrespect their teachers and curse them which is not right at all. We must try to learn as much as we can from our teachers."
