Your Name is Nikitin and it's quite unique. What does it mean?
It's a Russian name that means victorious but people have such a hard time pronouncing it, I wish my parents named me Vijay.

You have done Bollywood, South films (Telugu), as well as TV, what difference do you find in the different mediums?
There is no difference in the mediums or the approach towards the craft, it's just the language when one travels south that changes.

You are remembered the most for Tangabali's role in Chennai express. Comment.
Yes, I am very proud of that film, and forever thankful to Rohit Shetty and Shahrukh Khan Sir. I am very lucky to have got the chance and thankful that people liked my work.

You have a very good personality and height. Have you been an athlete in your past?
I have played football as a child and been a martial artiste since a young age.

You are maintaining a clean-shaven look. Which look do you prefer and why?
For me shaving is a pain, I prefer the unkept and rugged look, that's more me.

What are your interests other than acting?
I would like to have a farm with animals.

How do you unwind yourself?
Music is always around me, for me, it's music or a great documentary on TV.

Your father Pankaj Dheer is a veteran and your wife Kratika Sengar is also in the same profession? How do you feel with the bunch of actors at home?
Honestly, I don't think about it. We don't bring work home, but yes, it's fun being able to discuss experiences and we land up; working with the same technicians so it's cool.

What are your forthcoming projects?
My forthcoming projects are two south films which are being shot and will make the next plan by Feb.

How do you maintain your physique?
With a mix of martial arts and freehand training.

What is the best compliment you got for your personality?
I reminded them of actors from an older generation like Charlton Heston.

What kind of TV shows do you want to do at this stage of your career?
Where I play the main protagonist and get to showcase my romantic side along with my action.

Are you open for a reality show?
I participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi 5 and it was great and I want to focus on my acting now.

Will you ever do a Big boss if offered?
No.

Two things no one knows about you?
The more I am told I can't do something the more stubborn it makes me. I can't compromise on my principles for any thing.
