Check out what Abhilash has to say on his upcoming movie, his shooting experience, few interesting incidents and a lot more!
How did this movie happen to you?
I was shooting for my previous show 'Laut Aao Trisha
' when I got a call where I was told that they want me to give an audition for 'Ghayal' once again. I didn't believe and thought it was a fake call. After few days, I got another call for the same audition and this time they told me that the audition is at Sunny Villa. It was then, when I believed auditioned for it. This is how my big journey started.
Do you think 'Laut aao Trisha' gave you a boost as an actor?
I started my career on TV with a show on Channel [V] named 'Best friends forever'. After this, LAT happened and it was a beautiful journey again. During LAT, I was surrounded with such senior actors, who helped me through out the show. In fact the director of the show gave me a lot of space to learn and helped me if I didn't understood anything. I had a lovely team and I am glad LAT happened to me.
How was it being a part of a film, written by Sunny Deol himself?
I was both excited and a little nervous. Excited, because it is my first movie and yet, I was treated in the same way like other senior actors. Of course it was amazing. Sunny Sir is a very chilled out person, he helped me a lot in portraying the role. The best part is he is very particular about every scene. If he thinks a scene hasn't turned out to be like what he had thought of, he would re-take the shot and shoot it till the time he is satisfied and I personally felt amazing about it. It makes you want to work harder. And the nervous part was about working with senior actors like Om Puri
, Sunny Deol
, Tisca Chopra
, and Narendra Jha
Are there any epic funny / close to your heart incidents that took place while shooting for the film?
Not funny but yes, there were times when I used to have a royal life during the shoot but when I went back home, I realized I was washing clothes and doing dishes. I was living two different lives at the same time which was overwhelming.
There have been several TV actors trying their luck in big screens and not many could make it. What are your expectations from the viewers?
I believe in the end you are acting, be it for TV or Bollywood. But yes, now almost every TV actor wants to be a part of Bollywood. Bollywood is another step to a successful career but I know people who are well known through TV only and they enjoy being a part of it. If you fit in a character's role and if you have that potential, I think you can make it big with both TV as well as Bollywood.
Are you open to TV as well now that you've made it to the silver screens?
For now I am only focusing on my film. There will be promotions coming up and other important things related to my film so I can't commit to any other project as of now. Though I would like to be a part of a small project as I believe in learning everyday.
Many people were constantly asking me about my upcoming work. It was a surprise actually. My role is very different from what you all have seen me doing before. I am sure you all will have a good time.
TellyBuzz wishes Abhilash good luck for his upcoming venture!
