I do what I want to do on my own terms! - Kashmira Irani

Amber Dhara has been the first show for Kashmira as an actor and Siddharth Kumar Tiwari too as a producer. In this conversation with Kashmira, she believes life is a complete circle. "I could not have asked for a better comeback. I am returning to television with Dosti.. Yariyaan.. Manmarzia. I was doing episodic series but I did not take up a daily show any time after Amber Dhara. Today, I am back doing a daily soap with Star Plus and the same production house (smiles). I could not have asked for anything better."

Further she added, "Swastik Productions has grown over the years. Amber Dhara was Sidharth's first show and I have seen him grow. I am so happy about their last project Mahabharat on Star Plus. They do several projects but something like Mahabharat is onto a different level. I was so overwhelmed watching Mahabharat. He has come a long way and has the potential to grow further. He is so passionate about what he does. To be working with such a passionate team is the best part about the show."

Kashmira is born and brought up in Pune unlike what is showcased on screen. "I just came to Mumbai to live my dream. So yes, there are a lot of similarities and differences as well considering the character."

Further to our conversation with the pretty actress, she spoke about the similarities and differences she has with her character. "Samiara is a very upfront girl, listens to her heart, lives in the moment, and does not really care about what the circumstances are. If Samaira thinks, something is not right, it is not right and if something is wrong, then it is wrong. She never worries about what the circumstances would be after this. I am quite similar to Samaira in this context. I live the moment, I do what I want to do on my own terms."

The major difference between Kashmira and Samiara is of course that she is not from Mumbai. Going by the shows' name, we asked her about her Manmarzia and she said, "I had that thing on my mind that I want to go to Mumbai and become an actor. I am here today living my dream. Our effort is always to make a show which connects to the audience and and something that they will enjoy watching. My Manmarzi of being an actor is fulfilled so as of now I am living in a happy zone (laughs)."
