The subtle and calm Saanchi of Sony TV's Baat Hamaari Pakki Hain startled everyone with her smashing performance on the track Desi Girl in one of the episodes. But least did we know that the real Ankita Sharma has a hand in its choreography.

Ankita Sharma as Preeto in Sawaare Sabke Sapne – Preeto

"Had I not been an actor I would have definitely been a choreographer.

Since childhood I had loved dance and music a lot and that was the reason why I took it up as my career. After school I did my graduation in Performing Arts from Sangeet Bharti Academy of Music and Dance. Kathak is what I had learnt from there but personally I love doing free style dancing.

While I grew up my parents had no objection at all because they knew that I was meant for that. They knew that Madhuri Dixit was my idol and I grew up watching her.

After the course I was involved in theatre in Delhi and did a lot of stage performances, but at the same time acting was never in my mind. But after I came to Mumbai, I guess I was destined to do that.

Though it is a fact that daily soaps on television do not give you much space for dancing, I am glad that I could do a number in my previous show Baat Hamaari Pakki Hain for which I was personally involved in the choreography. 'Desi Girl' was a fun number that I performed. I hope to do some sequence in my Imagine's new show Sawaare Sabke Sapne – Preeto as well.

I am really looking for a dance reality show to approach me so that I could be more involved in dance."

Ankita Your smile and eyes are treat to us.you have played saachi who is so quite simple now you are playing Preeto who is very active not afraid of any thing.It is total different.One thing i must say your acting with Barun is superb.The best pair I ever seen.

As said by other fan of you I fully agree with najbeg in the whole serial of BHPH not even once you did overacting and you kept the dignity of the character.Even in SSSP your acting is superb.Well controlled in expressing your feeling keep it up.

It's a delight to see you. You are a gifted actor & dancer. Your charm, innocence shows natural ability of acting. You can be very funny too. The best part of your acting - I never felt you were over-doing, as Saanchi you always kept dignity of the character and for your quality acting Saanchi portrays serenity, not misery.
Your jodi with Barun – superb!!!
