We are less than two months away from the release of the much-awaited and talked-about Netflix India original, Sacred Games.
The show has been in the works for a while now, and it will finally be going live on 6th July 2018. Starring Saif Ali Khan
and Nawazuddin Siddiqui
in lead roles, the teaser of the show went live a week ago and has been appreciated by one and all ever since..
But, with the show approaching soon, here's all you need to know about the show and it may just be the things you should remember by the time the show comes out.
Sacred Games is an adaptation of the bestselling novel of the same name which was written by Vikram Chandra.
The adaptation's first season will consist of episodes which will be around an hour long each and is be directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane.
But, considering the book originally is around 1,100 pages long, the show is planned to be presented in four seasons. That means the series will end with 32 episodes.
The shoot for the second season will begin in September 2018. The idea is to present one season every year.
The premise revolves around a contemptuous Mumbai city cop Sartaj Singh (Saif) who is tipped off on the location of crime lord Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin). As the lives of these two men collide, it exposes the trappings of a bigger game than the both of them.
The show also stars Radhika Apte, Surveen Chawla and Rajshri Deshpande in important roles.
