8th March is celebrated as International Women's Day. Our television industry has been known for its women centric shows where women have always been portrayed in different shades. We asked our TV actors about the which female character/actress they would like to dedicate their 'hats off' to. Here is what they had to say.
Akshay Dogra: There have been many beginning from Udaan, Rajni, Taara, and many more but my hats off goes to the protagonist of Udaan who dreamt of becoming an IPS Officer and wanted to rise high in life.I would like to work with Gul Khan again as I have seen her doing wonders to the characters she creates for her shows. If I would ever get an opportunity to work with her again, I will surely jump for it, as I like the way she transforms a character.
Shivin Narang: My hats off goes to Suvreen (Played by Smiriti Kalra) because I love her honesty and the way she handles every situation that comes her way under any circumstances. It is difficult for one to take a long route and do things perfectly but she does it very well without taking any short cut.
Abhishek Malik: I would like to dedicate my hats off to Madhubala (Played by
Drashti Dhami) because I like the way she acts.
Ankit Gera: My hats off goes to
Adaa Khan because the character she is playing, I don't think any other actor can essay it. Despite of being negative, she gets sympathy from the audience. According to me, she is the hero of the show because I have also seen her in real life where she is extremely simple. However, when she comes on-screen she definitely becomes the hero.
Siddharth Arora: My hats off goes to Megha (Played by
Aakanksha Singh) and Navika (Played by
Jayashree Venketaramanan) because Megha waited for 12 years for her love and Navika is waiting for her brother for a very long period of time. In today's time hardly anyone has the patience to wait for even 12 minutes. I would also like to give a hats off to Madhubala because of her simplicity and the efforts she is taking to transform the life of RK (
Vivian Dsena).
Anas Rashid: My hats off goes to the protagonist of Udaan. If a women has to achieve something great in life, then she has to be like her both physically and mentally. I feel a lot of women characters originated from that character. I would love to work again with
Ekta Kapoor but not in her TV serial but in her movie (laughs).
Rithvik Dhanjani: My hats off goes to Saakshi Tanwar, for the way she has been as an actor. She is one of the most natural actors television has ever seen. I would want to work with
Ekta Kapoor as I believe she has more than 5 senses working at the same time and the concepts and ideas that she comes up with are always against what people usually would want but she hits a bulls eye every time!
