Police Inquiry ORDERED against CINTAA by the Court of Law!

It's been quite a few months that Jamai Raja producer, Meenakshi Sagar and CINTAA have been at loggerheads and the blame game still continues. Only recently, CINTAA issued a statement wherein they stated that the court had initiated an inquiry in the matter.

But a completely different side of the story has now come into picture when we got in touch with Meenakshi Sagar's lawyer, Rizwan Siddiquee. 

A statement from the producer's lawyer reads as follows-

"Advocate Rizwan Siddiquee representing Ms. Meenakshi Sagar states that CINTAA is merely a Trade Union and they have to follow the Trade Union Laws. CINTAA cannot indulge in any form of arm-twisting tactics or act as a recovery agent for anyone. It is a matter of record that even the Competition Commission of India in its case No. 19 of 2014 has observed in its Order passed on the 31st of October 2017 that CINTAA as well as other Trade Unions are indulging in illegal acts are were held liable and guilty of contravention of the provisions of Section 3 (3) (b) read with Section 3 (1) of the Competition Act 2002."

The statement also read, "Even in the Criminal Complaint filed by my client wherein CINTAA was accused of threats, criminal intimidation and defamation, the Learned Metropolitan Magistrate has ordered a Police inquiry against CINTAA under Section 202 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973. As far as the Court Summons issued to my client in a parallel criminal defamation complaint filed by CINTAA is concerned, we are already going in revision against the said Order. Even otherwise I am very confident that no criminal case of defamation is made out against my client as alleged by CINTAA."
