Star Plus is all set to launch their next outing titled Rishton Ka Chakravyuh, a family drama that centres a troubled relationship between a mother (Narayani Shastri as Satrupa) and a daughter (Mahima Makwana as Anami).

We sat down with both Mahima Makwana (Anami) and Narayani Shastri (Satrupa) and got them talking about their respective characters and also the base plot.

Says Mahima, "The name of the show itself gives you a gist of what the show is all about. There is so much of hatred between the mother and daughter. But while Anami completely hates her mother, Satrupa does not hate her daughter and just dislikes a few things about Anami."

Narayani says, "The story of Chakravyuh is way more complicated than shown in the promo. Anami's hatred for her mother is completely justified. Infact, what every character does in Chakravyuh is justified as there is a reason behind it."

Narayani also reveals, "There is no nice or positive character in the show, there is a lot of grey, which is there in everyone's daily life. Koi bhi insaan doodh ka dhula nai hota. Some people are darker and some people are more white."

Narayani also speaks about Anami and her character.

"Anami is a pure soul, very innocent and lovable and does not have any malice against anyone in her mind, whereas Satrupa exactly opposite. She is manipulative, a power player,  very business minded and will play games to achieve what she wants," she says.

With the character sketches revealed and the base plot understood, we cannot wait for the show to go on-air.

I don't really like shows with too much negativity. But Nayarani is right, nobody is perfect. Everyone has a dark side to them, whether u admit it or not. Love Mahima Makwana lots and wish her all the best for this new venture

Usually not interested in Indian tv shows, but the promo of this one intrigued me so I'll check it out. Seems to have a different theme then the typical stories. Let's see how it goes
