After running successfully for four years and 850 episodes, "Na Aana Is Desh Laado", about female foeticide, is set to come to an end. It goes off air July 27.
In the show, Meghna Malik plays Ammaji who is against girl child. The show tracked Ammaji's journey from being a stern sarpanch in approval of female infanticide and her change of heart.
"We do not believe in stretching a story unnecessarily, rather end at an appropriate note. We are happy with the recognition and appreciation that the show has received so far, and believe that it is time to wrap up the show," Prashaant Bhatt, weekday programming head, Colors, said in a statement.
"Drawing curtains to this fiction show makes us proud about having created such a bold series and we promise to continue to innovate and experiment in our future programming as well," he added.

The show started on March 09, 2009 with a strong story but over the passage of time things started getting worse specially with Sia and Raghav leaving. The story no longer remained any impressive post-the-leap specially when characters like Choti Maa disappeared taking the strenght away from the show. A lot good could have been done but was not. I was a regular viewer until Sia and Raghav but not more. Wish luck to the team for further projects. P.S - Since 2008 viewership of indina soaps in Pakistan has reclined a lot due to the home drama industry becoming extremely strong yet again.

again an article??good its ending nothing is left now and please end uttaran too except bv . na bole tum and madhubala(as its new) nothing is watchable on colors..bring some good shows..though can't expect from colors

This was really a good show till Raghav Sia were the Leads..I remebr this show broke all records and was NO. 1 show across all channels in 2009 october..with 5.5+ TRps...10:30 slot rocked on Colors..but the channel made a big blunder by shifting the show to 1:00pm...for that Cheap BIg boss... NAIDL ..was best show...I hope it comes back as Season 2

I'm happy for people like Meghna and Sargi who have been a part of the show since day1. They can now look forward to something new!! Their talents were being wasted in this show that stooped having any potential to either challenge their acting capabilities or awaken/ entertain the audience! I would also take this opportunity to thank the creatives for giving us some very beautiful tracks and characters! The Amba- Ammaji relationship still happens to be my most favourite on-screen jodi ever and Amba and Ammaji still happen to be my most favourite on-screen characters! Thank you so much for that beautiful track way back in 2010! Love you guys for that! Ciao guys and wish you the very best of luck
