Mahhi saves the show!

Mahhi Vij's selfless act saves the day for producers and channel authorities of Colors and Playtime Creations' Laagi Tujhse Lagan.

According to our source, "Mahhi had applied leave for a few days for her cousin sister's wedding in Delhi. She had taken permission well in advance and even went to Delhi happily for the do. At that point of time Mishal Raheja was supposed to cover up for Mahhi. Unfortunately Mishal came down with appendix. He needed to go in for immediate surgery."

"With both protagonists on leave the creative's were forced to think of a way to proceed the story with an alternative track which although odd would have been the only saving grace. However, the production house and channel authorities attempted a last ditch resort and spoke of their problems to Mahhi. Mahhi seeing the situation decided to come work," says the source.

The source further adds, "The best part was she tried to give her commitment to both family and work. She'd come by morning flight to Mumbai and shoot and leave for Delhi by the late evening flight to attend the ceremonies. But after the third day she was so exhausted that she had to stay back in Mumbai."

Says Mahhi, "Yes, for me both the wedding and shooting were so important that I tried to be at both places by shuttling between Mumbai and Delhi. However, after the third day, my body just didn't co-operate with my will power. I could attend the cocktail, roca and sangeet but not the wedding."

The source says, "The entire unit was very happy because as it is the channel has to battle heavy competition with its presence in the prime time slot. So Mahhi's timely help really saved them."

When we referred this to producer Hemal Thakkar he was all praises for the protagonist of his show. He said, "She is a rock star, she did all this and inspite of rains making it tough she fought against all odds to manage this. It's good that we have such professionals on board."
