Chandigarh, Oct 23 (IANS) Fresh from his 12-day trip to five European countries, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda Monday announced the setting up of a European Desk for investment promotion.
The state is expecting an investment of Rs.120 billion ($2.6 billion) from business houses in the five European countries - The Netherlands, Germany, France, Britain and Spain - that he visited, Hooda told reporters here.
'I had a fruitful visit to these European countries. We were able to highlight Haryana's development on the industrial and technology fronts,' Hooda said.
The new European Desk at Haryana's investment promotion board in Delhi would help facilitate investment from Europe.
The chief minister was accompanied by a delegation of ministers, officials and industrialists during his visit.
