JandA look a bit dazed by Meghna's sudden entry and dramatic announcement. She glares impatiently at them. "Are you guys listening? Maine kaha…..mujhe ek clue mil gaya hai!"
Armaan finally understands what she is saying, and springs to his feet. "Tumhe pata hai Neha aur Nikki kahaan hai?"
Meg shakes her head ruefully. "No……but I know ki Samar Oberoi ke murder ka clue kahaan se mil sakta hai!"
Jassi: Lekin…..lekin tumhe kaise pata……
Meg: (grinning smugly) Tum log mere Mantra-Yantra-Tantra healing science pe haste the na…..lekin aaj ussi ko use karke, maine iss case ke upar concentrate kiya….aur meri Third Eye ne mujhe clearly dikhaya ki clue Neha ke ghar mein hi hai!😕
Armaan gives Jassi a "Oh no not again" look😉. Meg notices his reaction, and is annoyed. "Tum log believe nahin karna chahte toh mat karo……lekin iss clue se tumhara case solve ho sakta hai….!"
Jassi: (soothingly) Meghna, tum agar keh rahi ho, toh hum zaroor check karenge (looks imploringly at Armu)…..par batao toh sahi ki ye clue hai kya?
Meg: Mujhe exactly nahin pata…..bas, ek Blue cover wali file hai….jo tumhe Neha ke ghar mein milegi…..
Jassi somehow manages to convince Armaan and they both drive off towards Neha's house. On the way, Jassi calls Raj to tell him to be there too. Raj listens to her story, then laughs for the first time in two days.
Raj: Come on Rani of Jhansi….! Tum bhi uss hocus-pocus mumbo-jumbo Meghna ki baton ko sach maanne lagi?😃 Bas bahut ho gaya….main ACP Pradyuman se milne ja raha hun….tum log check karna chahte ho toh karo, par kuch milne wala nahin!
JandA arrive at Neha's house and then realise that it is locked and they don't have the key. Undaunted, Jassi picks up a stone and smashes the lock open. A neighbour peeps out and asks what they are doing. Armu answers impatiently that they are Neha's friends, and stalks inside, Jassi following.
They switch on the lights and look hopelessly around.
Armu: Jassi, iss poore ghar mein, hum ek Blue file kaise dhoondenge….that is, agar aisi koi file ho!
Jassi: Armaan, agar Meghna itne yakeen se keh rahi hai, toh ho sakta hai uski baat sach ho…duniya mein bahut si baatein hai jo hamari samajh se pare hai…..anyway, agar hume search karna hai, toh Neha ke room se start karna chahiye…..ho sakta hai wahaan Nainital se related files ho….
They enter the bedroom and locate the box that contains all the old hotel files from Nainital. They rummage through it, finding many blue files—some a faded blue, some indigo, some turquoise😕—but unable to find anything intriguing in any of them.
Then, right at the very bottom, is another blue file. Armaan picks it up wearily. "Agar isme kuch nahin mila….toh main Meghna ko Pluto bhej dunga….wahaan wo apna mantra-tantra whatever aaraam se practice karti rahe……"😆😆
He opens it and closes it almost immediately, in annoyance. Jassi asks what it contains.
Armu: Kuch nahin…..Record of employees hai bas….Anuj Shastri ke hotel ka……I knew yahaan kuch nahin…..
But Jassi has snatched the file from him and is looking excitedly through it. Armaan is amazed. "Kya hua Jassi?"
Jassi: Armaan….isme hotel se saare employees ke details hai….iska matlab isme uska bhi bio-data hoga, jo uss raat duty pe tha! Iske madad se, hum usse dhoond sakte hai!
Armu almost laughs and asks her how they will know, from the scores of names in the file, who exactly was on duty that night.
Jassi says that every employee's biodata contains not just date of joining but also date of leaving the organization. Neha has told them that Anuj replaced all those employees who were on duty that night when Samar was murdered. That means, any employee whose date of resignation was immediately after the date of the murder, would have been on duty that night.😊😊
They flip through the pages eagerly. At last, in front of them opens a page that gives the following details:
NAME: Shyam Sundar
DESIGNATION: Front-desk clerk
DATE OF LEAVING: January 17, 1999
JandA look excitedly at each other. They have found their witness.
