The Radha Krishna love story is eternal and sublime. Millions of people across generations are mesmerized by the Radha Krishna love story. The Bhagavata story of Krishna, the cowherd romancing Radha, is an incomparably superb mythology and a legend conquering times. Krishna's relationship with Radha, his favorite among the 'gopis', has served as a model for male and female love in a variety of art forms.

Krishna's youthful dalliances with the 'gopis' are interpreted as symbolic of the loving interplay between God and the human soul. Radha's utterly rapturous love for Krishna and their relationship is often interpreted as the quest for union with the divine. It is said that Krishna or God is only satiated by devotional service in loving servitude and Radha is the personification of devotional service to the supreme. This kind of love is of the highest form of devotion in Vaishnavism. Radha, daughter of Vrishabhanu, was Krishna's lover during that period of his life when he lived among the cowherds of Vrindavan. Since childhood they were close to each other - they played, they danced, they fought, they grew up together and wanted to be together forever, but the world pulled them apart. He departed to safeguard the virtues of truth, and she waited for him. He vanquished his enemies, became the king, and came to be worshipped as a lord of the universe. She waited for him. He married Rukmini and Satyabhama, raised a family, participated the great war of Kurukshetra, and she still waited. So great was Radha's love for Krishna that even today her name is uttered whenever Krishna is referred to, and Krishna worship is thought to be incomplete without the deification of Radha.

This television project has made a long journey before making it to your tv screens. The concept was first conceived by Zee Tv and a short teaser was put on air in mid 2015. At that time another different production house was developing the project with a complete different star cast. Several months passed after that without the show getting launched. Following the long delay, the channel decided to shift the project to Swastik Productions in 2016.

Swastik then started preparations to put the show on floor as soon as possible . Our present lead actors (Sumedh and Mallika) were roped in for the show during that period. The show was all set to go on floor that year...beautiful sets were in place, even promo was shot but in unfortunate turn of events the show was scrapped in the eleventh hour over some disagreements between the production house and the channel regarding the budget.

There was no news for a year thereafter. It is reported that Swastik moved on with the concept with other channel. Then a casting news made it to the media in august 2017 indicating that the project is still active. Apparently the show was set to come on air in 2017 again but it got postponed further.  It was reported that hard negotiations were made to air the show in Star Plus, but ultimately it found its place in Star Bharat.

Finally in mid 2018, there were strong hints from social media activity of actors that the project is on verge of revival yet again and this is time there is no looking back.

Young Mallika Singh is a newcomer in the industry. Star Bharat's 'RadhaKrishn' under Swastik Productions is her debut show.  This 18 year old actress was producer Siddarth Tiwari's first choice for the role of Radha. Back in 2016, she was called by the production house very shortly after auditioning for the role. According to producer Siddharth Tiwari, Mallika's personality is very close to the image of Radha he has in his head. He says, Mallika has certain traits in her personality such as purity, innocence, calmness etc. Mallika has remained part of the original cast who were roped in to play lead roles for the show couple of years ago.

Though following the delay of this project, Mallika moved on in between to star in a Rajashri Productions show, but such is fate that even that show got shelved last year, which made Mallika available to be back in this show again. Perhaps, she was destined to play Radha.

Hey Guys,
Am I first one to comment on this thread??? Chalo kisi mein toh first aayi!!

Yesterday someone asked (sorry I could not find your post and could not get your name!!) how people do not know about Krishna and Radha as deities since they already existed.

In relation to that I would like to share a story that happens in Ramayan.

After Sita enters the earth and be done with her avatar, it is now Rama's turn. Rama has completed all his duties after Sita being gone and Hanuman is, as usual, with Rama.

Yamraj knocks on the door of Rama many times and every time Hanuman fights him and sends him back.  Rama observes this and hatches a plan. He slips his ring into a tiny crack on the floor and asks Hanuman to fetch it. Hanuman reduces his size and enter the crack. He travels all the way down to Naga loka.  Once he reaches there he sees a heap of rings, all similar to the one thrown by Rama.
He understands the the time has always been cyclic. Everything that is happening now and that will happen in the future has already happened many times.

So, even if Kishan and Radha existed before, every time them take birth on earth, it is always a new cycle of time. Hence people would not know about them.

There is so much discussion going on over fear and it's impact on Radha in one way-- fear to move forward towards love , and on Ayan and Jatila in another way --fear for losing something which was never theirs !! Here is an interesting story, how Krishna and Balram dealt with fear with their different perspectives regarding that illusory fear!!
Fear In The Form Of  A Forest Monster!

On that full moon day, Krishna and Balarama were walking in the forest! It was late and they decided to rest in the forest for the night. It was a dangerous forest with full of cruel animals, so Krishna suggested-- "Bhayya, you keep watch until midnight while I sleep, and  I will be on watch from midnight till morning." They both agreed and Krishna slipped into a deep sleep!

A few hours passed, Krishna was still in sleep. Balaram heard a growl at a distance, it was a terrifying sound! Balram walked a little further towards the sound to check what it was. Now he could see a gigantic monster approaching him. The monster growled again, Balaram was very afraid, he trembled with fear. [ Though they are Gods , at present in human forms with all human emotions !!]

Every time he trembled, the monster grew double in size!! The monster grew bigger and bigger as it approached Balaram. Now the monster was standing very close to Balaram, it growled again. Terrified by the sound, size and cruel eyes  of the monster Balaram screamed "Krishna! Krishna!" and collapsed and fell unconscious!!

Woken up by the call, Krishna followed the sound and found Balaram  sleeping, Krishna thought, 'It must be my turn now' and started walking too and fro. Slowly Krishna recognized the monster standing nearby!

The monster growled at Krishna.

"What do you want?"-- Krishna asked unafraid. The size of the monster decreased, it shrunk to half its size.

"What are you doing here?"-- Krishna asked again and the monster shrunk again! Krishna kept questioning it expecting a reply, the monster kept shrinking every time he asked.

Now the monster was just 2 inches tall and looked cute and adorable!! Krishna took it in his hand and placed it in his waist pocket. The night passed and Balaram woke up in the morning.

Balaram saw Krishna and joyously shouted "Krishna! Krishna!".

"Krishna! you don't know what a terrible thing happened while you were asleep. There was a huge monster trying to kill us both. I don't know how we survived, the last thing I remember is that I fainted." Balaram said trying to recall previous night's events.

Krishna took out the little monster out of his pocket and said, "Is this the same monster Bhayya?"--

"Yes, but it was so big! how did it shrink?" asked Balaram.

"Every time I questioned it, it shrunk in size, finally it became this."

Balaram told Krishna how the monster grew yesterday every time he was scared of it!!

Then Krishna concluded, "Every time we are afraid, our fears grow big, but every time we face them and question them, they become smaller and smaller."
