It's a bit late, but here is the next part for you.
The update was ready since the weekend, but somehow few things cropped up and I didn't get time to post it.
So without further ado, here it is😊
PART 4
"Kahan chali gayi thi Ruhi, mujhe kuch
bataaya kyun nahi...maine poora ghar dekha, tum mili hi nai, tumhe pata hai
main kitna pareshan tha. Mujhe laga ke kahin... ke kahin in insaanon ne tumhare
saath kuch kiya nahi... Khaas kar woh...woh Mahir Sehgal," Vikrant said
with fake concern the moment he entered into Bela's room few hours later.
Tum jaise saanp ke beech reh kar, mujhe insaanon se kya
khatra ho sakta hai Vikrant, Bela thought inwardly.
"Pehli cheez Vikrant, I admit tum sirf mere bhale ke
baare mein sochte ho lekin iss ka matlab yeh nahi ke tum mujhse iss tarah
sawaal karo. Maine Vish se bhi kaha tha pehle aur aaj tumhe bhi kehrahi hoon,
yeh mat bhoolo main tum logoon ki Naagrani hoon, toh mujhse sawaal karne se
pehle das baar socha kiya karo," Bela warned him.
Yeh Ruhi ko achanak kya huwa, Vikrant thought to himself.
"Acha theek hai. Maaf karna. Par tum gussa mat ho. Mujhe
toh bas tumhari fikar ho raha tha," he tried clarifying.
Yeh kya kar diya maine, Bela thought. Apne gusse ko control
kyun nahi ki maine. Kahin Vikrant ko mujhpe shaq na ho jaaye, Bela panicked.
"I'm sorry Vikrant. Gusse mein pata nahi meri muh se kya
nikal gaya. Mera woh matlab nahi tha. Woh main...doctor ke paas gayi thi,"
she said
Vikrant looked at her with a consterned expression. He
touched her forehead as if checking her temperature.
"Ruhi pakka tum theek ho? Mujhe tumhari fikar aur bhi
lagne laga hai. Hum naag-vansh se hai, bhool gayi kya? Doctor ki hamein kya
zaroorat," he asked with a puzzled look.
Kuch aur nahi soch sakti thi kya Bela? She cursed herself.
Bela could feel the beads of sweat on her forehead.
"Woh... Mujhe pata hai Vikrant ke main kya hoon. Woh
Kuhu ka appointment tha, toh uss ke saath gayi thi," at least it was not a
complete lie. Kuhu did have an appointment earlier that day. But the fact that
she was accompanied by RJ and not Bela, that was a different thing. Not that
Vikrant had to know about that.
"Hmmm... Theek hai, toh main chalta hoon," Vikrant
seemed to be convinced. "Waise tumhari Sumi Maa tumhe neeche bula rahi
thi," he told her as he proceeded to move out of her room.
"Vikrant, ruko," she called from behind.
"Kya huwa Ruhi?"
"Tumhe Vish ko dekha? Kuch dinon se maine na hi usse
dekha aur woh na hi mere calls le rahi hai," she asked him knowing very
well what he would answer.
He was a bit taken by her question. Usse abhi Vish ki yaad
kahan se aane lagi, he looked here and there, avoiding her gaze as he tried
coming up with a reply.
"Kahan kho gaye Vikrant, maine tunse kuch poocha,"
she prompted again.
He didn't see Vish again after that night. He suspected she
had turned into her real self and went somewhere to die. If not then she would
have definitely come back to him to question him or she would have gone to
Bela. But neither happened, so he concluded her end.
"Haan woh mili thi mujhe kuch din pehle. Pareshaan lag
rahi thi. Poochne par usss ne bataya ke koyi sapera aaya tha kuch din pehle,
usse pyaar ka jhoota nataak kiya, tumhe toh zaroor bataya hoga usne. Toh uska
dil toot gaya aur usse bahut dukh huwa. Toh issi liyr kuch dinon le liye door
chali gayi, aisa uss ne kaha tha mujhe. Kyun tumhe bata kar nahi gi?" He
pretended as if it was surprising that she had made no mention of her 'plan' to
Bela.
Kitni safaayi se jhoot bol lete ho Vikrant, Bela was amazed
at how fast he came up with an excuse, and that too so confidently.
"Nahi, mujhe toh kuch batayi nahin ussne. Woh bina mujhe
bataye kabhi kahin bhi nahi jaati, toh aisi kya pareshani thi usko," Bela
played along. "Koyi baat nahi, Arvind ko boloongi main ke woh jaake Vish
ka pata lagaye. Aisi halat mein usse akeli nahi rehna chahiye. Aur bhi bure
bure khayal aaegi uss ko," she added.
Now Vikrant was a bit concerned. It won't take long for
Arvind to find out Vish was no longer here should he set out on her trail. He
was an old shape shifter who could sense things much better than them.
"Nahi Ruhi. Yeh mat karna. Mera matlab hai Vish ne khood
mujhe bataya ke usse kuch dinon le liye akeli rehni hai. Toh Arvind ko uske
peeche kyun lagana. Kahin woh bura na maan jaaye," he tried convincing her
otherwise.
When Bela still looked unconvinced, he added, "acha
theek hai, agar kuch dinon mein woh wapas na aayi, toh main khood jaake usse
wapaas laaooga," he was sure to have convinced her for she did give a sigh
of relief.

"Ma aapne bulayaa mujhe," Bela asked as she walked
into the living area. Sumi, Kuhu, Suhani and Paulo were seated together. Andy,
RJ and Yuvi were having a drink on the other side while Mahir and Pratham were
talking with each other on another side.
Some people were busy decorating the house for the night's
festivities while few other ladies were sitting around Sumi and the other
ladies.
"Haan, woh hum sab aaj raat le liye mehendi lagwarahe
hai, toh tum bhi aajao," Sumi told her flatly, far from her usual
affectionate self. She knew Sumi was angry with her and rightly so. That's why
she didn't feel bad hearing her.
She gave a slight nod and took a seat beside Suhani, where
she could directly see Mahir and he also could see her easily.
As the lady was applying mehendi to Bela, she whispered
something to her to which Shehnaz, the mehendi applier nodded positively.

"Chalo, sab jaao. Kuch der araam karo aur phir tayyar ho
jaao, do teen ghante mein toh mehmaan bhi aane lagenge," Sumi ordered
everyone once all the ladies got their mehendi applied.
As all dispersed towards their room, Mahir stayed back to
peek a boo at Bela's mehendi. Bela also delayed going for she knew Mahir wanted
to see her. However, seeing Mahir still seated, although his eyes were glued to
his phone while Bela had not yet gone, Vikrant couldn't help but irritate Mahir
further.
"Baby," he said to which both Bela and Mahir looked
at him, one fully annoyed and the other with anger. Khood toh uss ne aaj tak
Bela ko Bela ke ilawa aur koyi naam se nahi pukaara aur yeh fake Yuvi baby baby
kehta phirta hai. At times, Mahir was amazed at how he had managed to stay calm
till now. He was then reminded of Bela. He would have certainly lost his mind
had Bela not been around to calm him all the time. Relax Mahir, he told himself
as he opened his clenched fist.
"Ji," Bela replied.
Yuvi walked towards her and took her hands in hers.
"Waise toh mujhe mehendi ki smell tak nahi pasand, lekin
tumhare liye kuch bhi Baby," he winked at her while Mahir grunted from
behind.
"This mehendi is looking so beautiful. Mera naam toh
likhwayi hogi tumne, main dhoondta hoon," he said as he started looking
for his name but alas even after looking few times, he couldn't find anything.
"Kya huwa?" Bela asked after a while, knowing very
well what was the matter.
"Tumne naam nahi likhwaaya mera?" He asked her.
"Give me the packet, I will write it up for you, shayad uss bewaqoof ladki
ne likhna bhool gayi, haina," he said as he moved away to grab a henna
cone.
"Areh Yuvraj-ji, rukiye," Bela stopped him. To
this, even Mahir grew more attentive.
"Kyun takleef le rahe hai aap? Naam toh already likhwa
di maine," she said with a huge smile.
"Lekin Ru... I mean Baby I can't see anything," he
said.
"Areh Yuvraj-ji, don't worry, naam toh maine likhwa di,
woh bhi uss ka jisse main pyaar karti hoon. Lekin, usual tareeqe ke bajaaye,
maine Shehnaz ko Urdu mein likhne ko kaha. Haina romantic. Jab meri mehendi
sookh jaaegi na toh aaram se apna naam dhoondiye" she grinned at him,
fluttering her eyelids.
Even though he was few feet away, Mahir couldn't help the
chuckle which was forming at the back of his throat. Bela was such a piece, he
thought to himself.
Vikrant narrowed his eyebrows at Bela's behaviour. Isse kya
huwa, he thought to himself. Then his eyes fell on Mahir and he realised she
was acting all lovey dovey to annoy him. Well, at least this was what he
concluded.
"That's why I love you baby," Yuvi said pinching
Bela's chin playfully.
Bela smiled at him and moved to her room saying
she needed to rest for a while. As she moved towards her room, she gave Mahir a
wink and walked away.

Bela had barely closed her eyes as she lied on the sofa in
her bedroom when she felt someone kissing her on her forehead. Her lips
knowingly curved in a smile, for even with her closed eyes, she knew who it
was. She opened her eyes and there they were, staring at each other
lovingly. After a while, as their little eyelock session broke, Bela got up and
sat properly, pulling Mahir and making him sit on the table in front of her.
"Darwaza toh lock kiya hoga na aapne," she asked
firstly, "pata chala hum dono ek saath yahan hai aur phir koyi tapak
jaaye," she playfully taunted him.
"Ek baar galti karta hoon Mrs Sehgal, baar baar
nahi," he said lifting his invisible collar and Bela couldn't help but
give a little smile. This is what she loved about him. He had the ability to
make her smile all the time, even with the most simple or least thing.
"Waise Bela, dikhaao toh kahan hai mera naam," he
said as he took her hands in his and opened her palms.
And then she showed him, his name, beautifully etched right
between her ring and little finger.
He gave her a quizzed look.
"Lekin uss fake Yuvi se toh tumne kaha k..."
"Jhoot kaha tha maine. Main kyun chupaoongi aapka naam?
Uss ne theek se dekha nahi toh uski galti," she said. In fact, Bela had
made sure that Mahir's name is written in between her fingers because she knew
like everyone, Vikrant would check her palm only and rightly so for this is
what he did.
"I must say Bela," Mahir added a while later.
"What?"
"Mere saath itne mahinon reh reh kar, tum bhi smart
banti jaa rahi ho," he grinned at her.
"Ha-Ha," Bela laughed sarcastically. "Very
funny Mahirji."
"Acha cmon get up," Mahir said as he stood on his
feet.
"Kyun?"
"Tayaar bhi toh hona hai," he said.
"Haan toh aap jaiye tayyar ho jaiye. Main thodi der rest
karoongi phir tayyar ho jaaongi," Bela said.
"Bela get up," Mahir said again as Bela proceeded
to lie down. "Aaj bare fursat se main tumhe tayaar karoonga," he told
her with a wink.
"What?"

So that's it for now.
I believe in 1-2 parts, the short story should be over but something is running in my mind on how Mahir will know Bela's truth or how Mahir will be linked to the whole Nagin concept😆 So I might just start working on that😊
