"Phew!" Exclaimed Vidya, as she put that final check on the to-do list for the next day. The book reading competition she had planned for, for months was just hours away. The competition was being held in the honour of her favourite author and screenplay writer the Lt. Vedat Turkali; featuring the best of his works and Vidya just couldn't wait for it! She sat on the floor of the library thinking how it would probably be one of her best birthdays ever. She still needed to pick up snacks and drinks for the participants and some more last minute jobs were still pending.
Some time had passed before she realized that the light chatter she was here and there listening to in the adjacent hall had stopped. She went to check and to her utter surprise nobody was there. Realising she was alone and most probably locked inside the library; she ran to grab her cell phone but as luck would have it, she had forgotten it in her car! To add to the bad luck, the library phone lines were down too thanks to the lightening strikes earlier that day!
After making several attempts to get out of the library and without any success, she got tired and soon fell asleep.
She couldn't believe her luck as she saw, THE Vedat Turkali standing on the dais, for the competition. He shared his insight about one of his best selling books, 'What is Fatmagul's Fault?'

During the competition, Vidya discussed several aspects and scenarios from the book with Mr.Turkali. It was like a dream come true for her to be able to share her thoughts and feelings about the book with the author himself.
Mr.Vedat Turkali announced the winners and while at it, he also surprised Vidya by requesting the audience to wish her a very Happy Birthday! He then wished her personally much to her astonishment and immense joy.
The sound of the library door opening roused Vidya from her sleep and she realized how the meeting was merely a dream. Disappointed though she was, she still had the lovely competition to look forward to. Before the librarian could ask any questions, Vidya gathered her belongings and ran out the library, knowing full well how late she was and how angry her friends would be whom she had invited over for dinner! "Vidya rani aaj tu pakka pitegi!" She cursed herself as she drove home.
