Bepannah~ My thoughts ep 16 9.4.18 Going through the motions!
No sooner are we born, our dance of life begins and continues to the last days of our age. What's more, we are required to keep to the rhythm and cadence of events and circumstances that come our way. To be alive, to survive, we need to show much vigour and according adaptability that life beats and sounds at us. Match our responses to both loud and quiet pulse and tempo in the dance of life!
Zoya seems rushed off her feet! Her pace is faster than anything she's come across before. Just when she has things within her grasp, hundred interruptions! make crucial things slip out of reach! Such is the way of reality, brimming with fleeting pressure. Zoya is in the thick of things. She finds herself multitasking, and prioritising. Noor will have to hang on, she'll get back to her. For now finding Yash's friend is imperative! Pity getting access to Ashish is far from easy. Zoya juggles too many balls in the air, she'll have to keep only Yash's dream in mind to maintain the balance! Ashish is keen to know who ran this Zosh function? On finding its Zoya, he slips away! wonder why??
Noor clearly is tougher than her older sister Zoya. To Noor it's clear her consent for marriage would not be sought by either of her parents. Zoya's history makes her father take robust action. However now it's in Noor's hands to make her parents see ,her will, consent for marriage does matter primarily. Does Waseem turn a blind eye and marry Noor off regardless? Who knows both sisters might just put up a joint resistance against his decision?
It's common for snags and glitches to happen at functions. But to be told that the celebrity couple hired to perform are untraceable! Sure does takes the wind out of Zoya's sails! Things were going well! Henna ceremony was to the satisfaction of clients. But for the Sangeet! minus a celebrity couple to highlight the occasion. What pot luck! But then the shrewd business minded Aditya.. saves money by personalising the song and dance function! The to be married couple Bella and Rohan will shake a leg! It's interesting to see how Adi and Zoya both try to fill the gap by highlighting Bella and Ro..
Aditya clearly has something unique up his sleeve! that is not run of the mill stuff but exclusive and patent! But before all else for Aditya is prime is really to create hurdles in Zoya's path. Bella's father vows to sue Zosh, for disaster in his daughters dream wedding. Adi's really is training Zoya how to deal with unforeseen circumstances, when he slyly throws the spanner in the works! With a smile he jeers, sort this song and dance crisis! leaves her to go around in circles of much bother and confusion! Aditya speculates, swim or sink! His intention is to make her work out the solution to the untimely problem! In business contingency cover must be kept in mind. His aim is to introduce Zoya to such issues.
Dreams, stars, motivate individuals into realizing what they can achieve. But its compassion, care and love that reaches out to emotionally down people and makes a difference. Aditya saunters over to an upset Bella has an intelligent , honest exchange of views. It's hard to accept that this is the same Aditya whose words are levelled to emotionally pull Zoya to bits. Yet here he respects and listens to Bella's low and dull tones. To me he delivers duty of care to his client. His musings about collateral damage in war , cynically applies to him and Zoya. How both sustain grief due to the clandestine infidelity of their spouses! In dispute the innocent face injuries too.. Aditya chooses to support the young girl whose dreams about her fairy tale wedding are dashed. So as people do she blames the stars and her rotten luck! He recalls and even shares witb Bella he once knew a girl who to looked to the universe for omens! Bella's preoccupation with popular jargon.. the aspiration for perfection in everything in life! I liked how Aditya challenges this obsession with perfection, especially in relationships... I felt he tried to ell Bella, its almost like having high expectations which often may dent marriage.. couples struggle to reach perfection and find it unrealistic! his tip thus to a calmer Bella, then is to look for nearly, almost perfect! This way dreams, aspirations, relationship are more achievable.
Zoya's unrealistic chasing of Yash's dream? Adi left her to work out a solution and here she is lumbered by a setback. Mind you, to have Mahi as a SIL, who needs a foe! She patronises, taunts, niggles Zoya! How she delights as Zoya suffers!
As for Zoya its bad news after the other, the bride disappears! and power cut! what does it matter! Zoya's event, Yash s dream is already steeped her in darkness! But then who is smart enough to create light out of darkness! Adi! An overhauled, motivated Bella goes to create history ! shake a leg! Be the most important celeb at her sangeet!
Dance is all about letting yourself go ! joining in combined motion! Dance is also about taking liberties! For demonstrative purposes. Who should know better than the industrious Aditya who twirls, swings, whirls a shocked Zoya in his arms ! Dance is more about technique, coordination, falling into place rather than the dancers emotions! They might as well go to the winds! he looks down into Zoya's vulnerable eyes. You forget , I own you! So lady dance to my tunes! Incorrigible! He is, fumes Zoya helpless in his arms. But all this grief is another step towards realizing Yash s dream, gulps Zoya.. till then Zoya continues to dance to Aditya's tunes. Dance ! dance! Oooh! porcelain doll with the majestic lion of the urban jungle!! This jack of all trades saves the day becomes the celeb of the occasion.
Zoya is on cloud 9! the snorting bull has a heart after all, no matter how hard to present a rude boy image of himself! Is Zoya having a melt down towards him??
Scaling heights! For me the best scene of the episode is Zoya following him to the terrace. Takes some courage to reach up to the baffling and mystifying Aditya. A sincere thanks very much for saving the day for her, Yash's business! Still Zoya shows concern for him, wants him to be cautious... lest he stumbles and falls! He studies her face.. clearly the nit wit forgets !!he is a pilot by trade, lives mid way between the skies and the earth. Zoya in all earnestness outlines his dark traits, like he does. But her pointers are without malice. But Aditya could do without her patronising. Zoya attempts to reiterate his positive traits, which he skilfully hides behind his fierce mask! She emphasis that he has a heart! Despite his heartless persona. She might as well point out that she tends to give vent to her grief. Whilst he prefers to keep it to himself. To me Zoya needs to accept that humans express their personal grief in their own way , at their own time. Aditya reminds her, no good wearing blinkers, as the truth is, both of them have been duped by their partners. The sooner she accepts this ,like he does, the better it would be for both to receive emotional healing!
He loves to live up to his devilish image! He snarls, he's more, much more gross then he lets out to be! The situation ironically swivels around at her! She ends up between the devil and the deep blue sea!... but his strong timely grip in time for a split second keeps Zoya hanging for dear life itself! One pair of hands! Sent him crashing, down! Down! Now gripping at Zoya's hand.. this pathetic girl! Urges him to tell her upfront, hanging on to his hand. Would she rather die? if he lets go off her hand? Or would she hold on to his palm to live??? The bottom line is love makes him weary! For his purpose that gives him reason to live! To make sure she accepts the bitter truth , that they are victims of collateral damage! That comes about by their cheating spouses ! bit on the side!
He rudely yanks her up and hurls her to the safety of the terrace! Then leaves her alone on the terrace! So much so! for thinking of the devil as some saint!!! Hamlet53 10.4.18
0verall a great episode, in terms of dialogue content, much depth. Harshad's dance was apt and portrayed, the vibrant boisterous side of rural ethnicity!
