This story is based on the ongoing track where they all are going for the trip to Mount Abu...this is just a piece of my imagination and I apologise in advance if my thought process doesn't connect to any of you. This is based on how the sweater became a turning point in their relationship. So please do give it a read and enjoy.
Part 1
Swati: Naina jaldi chal...der ho rahi hai...bus chhoot jayegi...
Naina: haan bas aa rahi hu...
Swati has come to pick up Naina as they are leaving for the school trip today. the family members at her home are busy giving her advice as she is going out alone for the first time.
Taiji: o bai...dekhna...tere saath ladke bhi jaa rahe hain...to un nalayak ladkon se door hi rehna...samjhi...
Chachaji: arey Bhabhi humari Naina bahut samajhdaar hai...aisa waisa koi kaam kabhi nahi karegi...hume ispe poora bharosa hai... Naina yeh le kuchh paise rakh le...safar mein kaam aayenge...
Chachiji: Naina wahan se na tu mere liye kya layegi?
Chachaji: wo kuchh nahi layegi...Naina tujhe wahan se kuchh bhi lane ki zaroorat nahi hai...
Rakesh : aur haan...us baalon ki dukaan se door hi rehna...wo ek number ka bigda hua ladka hai...aur un rahu ketu se bhi...theek hai...
Naina: jee Papa...
Pooja: tu mere liye wahan se kuchh bhi le aana...jo tujhe achha lage...ab to meri shaadi hone wali hai...to iske baad tujhe yeh mauka kahan milega?
Preeti: aap bhi chali jaao na uske saath...mujhe to jaane nahi diya...
Naina: Preeti...tu mujhe aise bhejegi...apna mood theek kar na...warna hume wahan achha nahi lagega...
Preeti: hume matlab...
Naina: mera matlab hai...main aur Swati...aur kaun...tub hi na...
Swati: ab chal Naina bahut der ho gayi hai...
Everyone says goodbye to her and both of them reach the school. Naina repeatedly looks out for a moment when Sameer is alone so that she can gift that sweater to him. But he is constantly surrounded by his friends. She is unable to gift that sweater to him and they all leave in the bus to Mt Abu. In the bus they all play antakshari and all of them happily enjoying their journey reach Mt Abu. They all reach the guest house which was booked for them. The girls and the boys were supposed to stay in separate wings of the guest house. They all freshened up and had their meals together. Naina kept on trying to give him the sweater but she failed every time. In the evening, the students were taken for a walk and some shopping to the nearby market so that they can buy the items which they needed for the trip. Sameer was looking for some woollen clothes as it was very cold especially late evening and night time. Naina saw this and went to him and asked him to come with her. He asked her where she wanted him to come with her but she insisted on coming with him. When no one was seeing them, she took out that sweater and gave it to him.
Sameer: yeh kya hai Naina?
Naina: yeh sweater hai...tumhare liye...
Sameer: nahi nahi...yeh main nahi le sakta...agar tumhare Papa ko pata chal gaya to...tum rehne do...
Naina: unhe kaise pata chalega...yeh to maine khud apne haathon se banaya hai...
Sameer: tumhe sweater banana aata hai?
Naina: aata to nahi tha...par tumhare liye maine magazine se seekh ke banaya hai...tu pehnoge to mujhe achha lagega..
Sameer: tumne mere liye ...yeh sab...kyun?
Naina blushed and had a smile on her face.
Sameer: tumne jawab nahi diya...tumne mere liye kyun?
Naina: har kyun ka jawab nahi hota...main jaanti hu tum apni Mom ko miss karte ho aur unke banaye sweater ko bhi...isliye maine tumhare liye...
And she left from there smiling...Sameer looked at the sweater and thought...not bad Naina...to ab Behenji mere liye sweater bhi banakar layi hai...shart to main hi jeetunga and he cuddles that sweater and goes to his friends.
Munna: yaar Sameer tu kahan chala gaya tha...aur tere haath mein yeh kya hai?
Sameer: sweater hai...jo us behenji Naina ne apne haathon se mere liye banaya hai...
Pandit: sweater...us Naina ne banaya...kya baat hai yaar...
Munna: sahi ja raha hai tu bhai...ab jaldi teri shart poori hone wali hai...bas tu apna jalwa yu hi dikhata ja...wo din door nahi hai jab wo behenji sab ke saamne tujhe ILU bolegi...
They all continue with their evening walk and shopping happily. But Pandit was observing Naina and Sameer's glances to each other and the way they both looked at each other. After dinner when everyone retreated to their rooms, these three friends were together in the same room and Pandit was a bit quiet today unlike his usual self.
Sameer: aaj ise kya ho gaya? Koi saanp soongh gaya kya?
Munna: ya fir sipahi ki behen nahi aayi...isliye sadme mein hai...
Pandit: yaar main kuchh soch rah ahu...
Munna and Sameer at one go...Kya...?
Pandit: main yeh soch raha hu ki aakhir wo Naina Sameer ke liye sweater kyun layi?
Munna: kyunki uspe humare Sameer ka jaadu chal gaya hai...
Pandit: haan wo to hai...but humne kabhi bhi is baat pe dhyan nahi diya ki wo padaku Naina...jo kabhi kisi ladke ko apne paas bhi nahi aane deti...wo Naina Sameer ke liye jhooth bolti hai...use sorry kehne ke liye cake banati hai...aur yeh sweater?
Sameer: tu kehna kya chahta hai...saaf saaf bol na...
Pandit: yaar tum dono socho...hum ...balki tu Sameer...yeh sab sirf apni shart ke liye hi kar raha hai na...
Sameer: haan to...aur kya...warna kaun us behenji se baat bhi karna chahta hai?
Pandit: yehi to...tu to yeh sab shart ke liye kar raha hai...par use to yeh baat nahi pata...wo to use sach maan rahi hai na...
Munna: yaar Pandit tu confuse kar raha hai...kya sach...jhooth ...meri samajh me kuchh nahi a araha hai...
Pandit: yaar soch...Naina yeh sab tere pyar ko sach maan kar kar rahi hai...usne tere liye yeh sab kiya kyun ki wo tujhse pyar karti hai... tujhe yaad hai...kaise usne tere nanaji ki madad ki aur fir uski pitaya hui...tere liye cake banake bheja...aur ab yeh sweater...Sameer wo tujhse sach mein pyar karne lagi hai...aur tu usse pyar nahi karta ...zara soch...agar use yeh pata chal gaya ki tune yeh sab sirf ek shart ke liye kiya hai to...
Sameer: to kya? Wo yeh sab bhool jayegi...after all yeh sab bet ke liye hi to kar raha hu...
Pandit: haan bhai haan...lekin tu soch uske dil ko kaisa lagega? Hum sab ne kabhi yeh socha hi nahi... Yaar Sameer Naina ek bahut achhi ladki hai...ekdum sanskari...padai me topper...koi kami nahi hai... agar use yeh sab pata chalega...to uska to dil toot jayega yaar...
Sameer: yaar Munna samjha ise...kaisi behki behki baatein kar raha hai...hua kya hai aaj tujhe?
Pandit: yaar maine uski aankhon mein tere liye jo pyar dekha aaj...usne mujhe sochne pe majboor kar diya...tu soch yaar...meri bhi cousin behenein hain...agar unke saath koi aisa karta to hume kaisa lagta ?
Munna: yaar Pandit tu zyada emotional ho raha hai...aisa kuchh nahi hai...tu aaram se so ja...chal...
Pandit: yaar tum dono maanon ya na maanon...yeh theek nahi hai... ek shart ke liye kisi ke dil ke saath khelna...wo kahan tak theek hai?
Sameer: tum dono bas karo...chupchaap so jaao...main yeh shart poori karunga chahe jo ho jaye...samjhe ...aur aaj ke baad main is baare mein koi baat nahi sununga...
Munna jumped into the bed and soon fell fast asleep...and Pandit was a bit disappointed as no one paid attention to what he was trying to say...he cuddled under the blanket and went off to sleep. Sameer too lied down and had Pandit's words ringing in his ears...he didn't realise when he drifted into his slumber.
There Naina was being teased by Swati about gifting the sweater to her would be jijaji...Naina was blushing all the while and was constantly trying to avoid this teasing. But she was missing her family and especially Preeti who is her companion during the night sleep.
