Sameer is coming towards Naina in class and she is worried that what would she reply if Sameer asks her about coming to his birthday party. He comes there and stands close to her, she gets up and goes away from him. Students are studying in the library and Arjun goes to his father where Rakesh asks him about the dark circles beneath his eyes. Arjun starts telling him about India vs New Zealand series but Rakesh argues that those series ended in February. Arjun tells him that he missed that series but presently New Zealand vs England series are on and all the matches are late night and he can't afford to miss them this time.
Naina picks up a book and searches for a seat. She stands close to him and the song plays in the background...'patjhad savan basant bahar...' Voiceover says that since she had come to know that Sameer was innocent she wished she could go and sit with him but as always flowers always come along with thorns...her father was also there in the library. So she went to Swati and asked her to give her seat and sit with Sameer to which she happily agreed. Rakesh comes there and teases Sameer and his friends for being seen in the library which was very unusual for them.
He asks Sameer to sit properly as he was sitting on the chair in an opposite direction. Sameer hears him and goes and touches his feet and tells him that he would keep doing this till he forgives him. Rakesh tells him to go and study. The opposite gang students are also there and one of them asks Rakesh sir whether he has a scissors with him. He scolds them as he thinks they'll cut pictures from magazines but they tell him that they need to cut someone's hair. He scolds them and says that he isn't a barber...and they say sorry to him.
Munna is worried for Sameer's hair and Swati tells Sameer that his hairstyle is awesome and suits him much more than Salman Khan. Munna asks Pandit about his hairstyle to which Pandit tells Swati to describe Munna's hairstyle. She replies that it is similar to a monkey to which Pandit bursts out laughing and Munna feels embarrassed. Swati tells Sameer that she is practicing Juliet's lines and Sameer glances towards Naina who is upset that she refused for the role. Sameer asks Swati whether she got the invitation for his birthday party and whether she'll come alone. swati tells him that she is trying to bring Naina with her but she is not agreeing to this but she'll make it a point to come there definitely. Sameer looks towards Naina and a smile is there on his face.
Swati goes to Naina to ask her something about studies and Sameer tells his friends that she is not ready to come...his birthday candles will melt but Naina will not...they need to find a way out. Bells ring and everyone moves out. Naina recalling their past moments and arguments with him and how she had been rude with her and that Arjun is the culprit. Title song in background and Sameer and Naina looking towards each other and as Sameer is about to go towards her, Rakesh comes there and Sameer again touches his feet. Voiceover says her feelings for him are like a see-saw and she was loving his gestures to please her and Naina moves out of the library.
At home Chachi is trying to make pizza ...Taiji comes there and asks her about the smoke in the kitchen. Chachi tells her that she is trying a new dish which is very famous in Idli...Taiji asks her that where is Idli...she heard of dosa idli...but where is Idli country. Bela tells her that Idli is in foreign... Taiji is confused so Bela tells its next to America. Taiji tells her that she should rather learn to make pao bhaji and not try her hand at foreign dishes and that no one would have it there. She leaves from there teasing Bela and Bela is upset that no one encourages her for trying new dishes.
In canteen Preeti and Naina are sitting for lunch and Preeti is upset that her mother is always searching for new recipies but ends up sending just tinde. Sameer and his gang comes there in full swag and Sameer sits on a chair which is kept on a table. He makes the announcement about his birthday party in the costliest hotel in Ahmedabad and that all his friends are invited. He also tells them that one of his special friends is unable to come to his party...so if that friend is missing...he won't cut the cake. Swati thinks he is talking about her and that she will definitely go to the party. He invites everyone again in the end.
Naina at home is telling Shefali about the way Sameer made the announcement. She tells her that he is a total films hero material and asks her whether she'll go. Naina says her love story can be made into a film as it daily has a new drama...she wants to go to the party as she doesn't want that he doesn't cut his birthday cake just because of her. Naina and Shefali are shown discussing and voice over says that I was confused between principles and love and for her both were important. So she left the decision on to the Almighty as he takes all the decisions for everyone.
She says that if a particular kali becomes a flower till next morning...she'll go the party. On asking she tells Shefali that she will wait for God to give her a signal and she teases her for being so unique as she was leaving her decision on the basis of a miracle. Voiceover says today also she does like this...if she wants to decide whether she wants to go for a movie or read a book...she waits for the song played on FM belonging to a particular actor to decide.
Sameer and his friends are enjoying chaat and discussing whether Naina will come to the party or not. Sameer tells them that he tried in all ways possible and if Naina comes there...she will definitely say I love you one day in front of everyone. Munna asks what shall he do so that Swati says I love you to him. Pandit teases him and gives him a suggestion of observing fast till he sees Swati in the party. Sameer tells him not to do that as he wont be able to do that...but Munna keeps his hand on a book and pledges thathe wont eat anything till Swati comes to the party. Voiceover tells about the importance of pledge and promises in those days along with the depth of friendships that time.
Naina is turning around in bed and is cursing herself that she never cared for the plants earlier. But today she had done everything to care for that plant so that she could see a flower next morning. Song in background...'jaane kya baat hai...' next morning Preeti wakes her up and she runs to the balcony and finds no flower there...voiceover says that all the flowers she gifted to God over these years went waste and God couldn't give her a rose flower that day...she stood there disappointed.

Swati tells Naina's family that she wants to take her to someone's birthday party. On asking by Rakesh...she tells its Suman's birthday. Rakesh asks where does Suman live...Naina speaks up...Kanchkura...he is shocked and says that there Sameer is organising his party and Naina is quiet...
