Ishq Mein Marjawan review: Deep Raichand falls in love with a serial killer; show keeps you hooked with its edge-of-the-seat drama

Colors premiered its new show Ishq Mein Marjaawan on September 20. It's a romantic thriller, which revolves around Arohi (Aalisha Panwar) and Deep Raichand (Arjun Bijlani).
Plot
The show kicked off with a gruesome murder committed by none other than our pretty protagonist Arohi, who is on a killing spree. The show is set in the beautiful locales of Shimla, where Arohi has committed four cold-blooded murders till now. Deep, who is a young business tycoon sees Arohi on the streets of Shimla for the first time and instantly falls in love. He is totally smitten by her beauty. He meets her again in a restaurant and asks her out on a date, which Arohi outrightly denies.
Cast
Aalisha Panwar is perfect to play Arohi, as she can easily pull off a simple girl-next door look and also a dangerous serial killer's part with aplomb. Dressed in black with blood-red lipstick, she's got the killer looks but at the same time she can easily convince you as a sweet demure girl who is oblivious to anything close to criminal offence.
Arjun Bijlani, who played a middle-class guy in Pardes Mei Hai Mera Dil, looks suave and debonair in his corporate look. His character is in search of the right girl, who is simple and loyal and he finds these qualities in Arohi. Actor Vineet Raina plays the cop who is investing the serial murders happening in the hills. The actor made quite an impressing entry in the show.
About the Show
The promos of the show have been quite intriguing, wherein one can see Arohi behind the bars while in the other Deep is seen in handcuffs. According to reports, Aalisha plays a double role in the show but the first episode indicates that it's Arohi who's behind all the murders and maybe suffers from split personality disorder, as she seems to be perfectly normal when dealing with her near and dear ones. One thing the episode made clear was, the murderer is after the lives of people who've cheated in love. It's a revenge-drama and we need to wait and watch the story unfold.
The title song of Ishq Mein Marjawan deserves a special mention , as its one of the best title tracks of recent times..
The show has started on a good note and has created a good amount of suspense with its first episode. We really hope that the thrill factor continues in the show.
