Rohan Mehra
As reported by BT, daily soap 'Sasural Simar Ka' ('SSK') is all set to wrap up after six years on September 19. Rohan Mehra, who had joined the show recently, says, "We have been told that the show is going off air early this month. I am not shocked, as these rumours had been floating even before I became a part of it. Honestly, I had thought twice before taking it up, but every project involves a certain amount of risk. Come to think of it, there are new shows that end within a month as well. So, 'SSK' has been a short yet great journey for me, as I got to play a different character. There are no regrets; it's better to be part of a show, which is ending on a high note."
However, the experience has made Rohan take a decision. He will only take up new projects and won't enter a show midway. He says, "I would love to do a new show next time around, as I have thrice entered already running shows 'Bade Achhe Laggte Hain', 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', and 'Sasural Simar Ka'. While all three have been successful, I feel that the experience of associating with a show right since its inception is different and I would love to experience it."
Meanwhile...
There were reports that Apurva Agnihotri will take over from Dheeraj Dhoopar to play the new Prem. That seems to be unlikely now.
Apurva confirms, "I am not taking up the show. I wish the team all the best."
