He is very popular Mishkil, esp among the younger lot...Actually even I didnt know about him until a couple of years back...My daughter made me see those pics of his, as she knew me and my hubby were great admirers of Mammootty...and yeah we loved those movies.  In fact Ustad Hotel won 3 national awards and DQ won the filmfare debut award.

Voww!!! Vidya, I didn't know he was Mamutty's son, he looks really handsome.  I figured he must be popular in South.  It's indeed a good opportunity for Mithila, at such an early stage in her career.  She has another web series - Little Things - on YT.  Haven't watched it yet.

And yeah Mishkil, she not only is a good actress but knows the tricks of the trade well, especially by showing her presence on social media.  I saw Muramba and Chi. Va chi... on Apali marathi this weekend.  Mithila has acted very well.  Comparatively, I did not like Ameya Wagh that much...may be because of the role that he had 😕. Mithila did really well, of course Chinmayee was good too.

And sorry but I did not like Chi. Va. Chi...  60% of the movie is unnecessarily loud. The extreme passion of leads for natural resources & animals sometimes becomes beyond belief.. like wearing the shirt both ways, flusing the toilet after using it 2-3 times. asking an auto driver if he's veg/ non-veg 😲. Lalit looked good and so did Mrinmayee. Despite the hilarious dialogues, I could somehow not take the loud tone and fighting in the 1st half.  What got uploaded on the site seemed a bit hurried up story, they could have shown many more instances of the leads falling for each other rather than wasting time showing the fights.  More than the leads, I loved the extrovert ajji 😳😆... how cutely she plays angry birds 😆

Anyone saw Mala Kahich Problem nahi?  In Pune it was hardly for 2 weeks in the theaters!

Nachiket seems busy in the Ganpati festival 🤔!  My daughter saw the lighting waala ganpati pandals with loud music and had an interesting question - "Aai does Ganpati bappa like to party a lot?  Is that why there is so loud music?" 😆😆

Hi Nachiket 🤗

Things have really changed for you now 😆... of course for good.

Loud speakers 🤢  I witnessed the worse on Gokulashtami - there were 5 dahi handis in a 1 mile area close to my house, although they were not so close to make us deaf.  But when we walked close to one of 'em the loud beats of the music gave a feeling as if our hearts will come out of the chest 😔.  My co-sister mentioned that in Dandeli, with that high pitch, utensils fall inside the house!  The only positive thing I noticed was that ladies also play the dhols with equal ferver and was good to see them participating in equal numbers.

Oh well...tomorrow being Anant Chaturdashi, the chaos will be even more, although I hear there is no use of gulal anymore, which is really good.  Gone are those days when the procession used to be worth enjoying.  I know SW & you will disagree, since SW also goes to watch the procession even now.  Kudos to your enthusiasm.

Loud speaker menace is increasing year on year and it will surely make us deaf.  When will our society improve...god knows.

Actually this year it was one of the most peaceful Ganeshutsav in our area. NO LOUDSPEAKER blaring near our society. Normally we had 4 mandals surrounding us, blaring full volume virtually 16 hours in a day. This time there were only 2 mandals and that too without any speakers! WHAT A RELIEF!!!!!!!
Could it be a positive outcome of demonetisation? Probably no liquid cash to throw around.

This may be one exceptional area. You are lucky kamal. In our area and wherever i visited matunga , borivali or western suburbs - sound level is just increasing every year and in some places even there is dancing on the songs like shantabai, sheela ki jawani , mithu mithu popat , baghtoy rickshawala, zingaat and so on...😡
Sound level of not only local mandals speakers  but during the procession they transport loud speakers / amplifiers through a another tempo !

Mulund East is quieter than west.
Thane west is also OK.  Not so lively.

How inspiring & Exciting 👏

He still seems like a fresh immigrant - I'd hesitate telling so many details about my family out of the fear of being looked down upon.  The memory of Slumdog is still fresh in my mind 😔  Don't get me wrong, I am proud of my heritage & culture but over the years I have realized that it's better to keep the details to yourself.  I LOVED his mantra - "Thank people who bury you!!" 👍🏼

Kudos to this world renowned chef for having reached this HIGH and yet being so down to earth, so proud of his roots!  Best wishes for continued success to this Michelin Star Chef ❤️

Out of curiosity I checked the price of his latest book - Utsav on Amazon - $327!! Wonder when he's going to tie the knot and who's the lucky girl going to be...

And YAY he mentioned Rajbhog!!!!  It's a gujju take out restaurant in Jackson Heights, Queens NY which has unfortunately become smaller over the years.  I still don't forget to buy khandvi / suralichi wadi when I go to Jackson Heights for buying Indian groceries.  They sell amrakhand too and their fresh rotis are amazingly delicious!  😛
