It's just twisted.
All that she said was that they haven't met yet but is in constant touch over calls and texts. That too when she was asked.
Constant only means they're in touch and not like they did once and stopped.
Honestly she doesn't have to lie. Plus for UV a Bollywood heroine is quite a big thing and they're trying to make her comfortable.
And Dunna's relationship with phone, we only see what we're shown! 😉
