A very crude one, no banner, nothing. This is just my take on Arjun-Satyabhaama's first meeting and it is completely fictitious. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

"Arjun, I'm sorry you will have to find your own way to the guest room!" Krishna said in his usual carefree manner. Arjun on his first tour to Dwarka was already amazed at its grandeur. Krishna had promised not to make a show of his arrival and hence he was surprised when he found every corner of the city adorned with bright flowers and brilliant jewels. Krishna had then told him that it was under the basic decoration scheme of the city.

"I have some work with Grandpa." he said as he followed the messenger sent to summon him.
"Ah-oh. Fine. I'll manage." Arjun replied absentmindedly, still staring at the dais where the announcements were made.

After wandering aimlessly for some time, when the strain of his journey finally overcame his wonder, he refreshed his mind to fix it upon his new mission- 'find the special guests' apartments.'

Behind an ashoka tree, he came across a regally dressed woman. She stood with her back to him. He wondered if she was a queen or a maid. Making up his mind to speak to Krishna at  length about his confusing socialist approach, he cleared his voice. The lady turned around.

She had the complexion of the sun. She wore little jewellery which but enhanced her sharp features. The edge of her sky-blue garment fluttered in the light wind as the golden borders glittered in the sunlight. Good sartorial sense, noted Arjun.

"Excuse me, could you help me find my way to the special guests' rooms?" he asked.

The lady bit her lips and placed her hands on her hips as she took him in from head to toe, "Going by the dress you wear, you should be knowing that talking to a woman in a lonely garden is hardly praiseworthy?"
"Ah, I just wanted to-"
"Well do you know me? Or, have I met you somewhere, the memory of which I fail to retrieve?"

Arjun was bemused. A handsome and talented prince, he had had a lot of experience with women, but he had never met a girl like this. Her words were rude, but not insulting. Rather, they felt as sharp arrows from an experienced bow. And that was sweet, thought he.

He was lost in his thoughts and hardly noticed another lady enter the scene, dressed in flaming red, and lean against the tree.

"No!" he answered.
"Therefore, I cannot allow you to stay here any longer." said she.

Arjun opened his mouth to protest, but was cut short by the other lady who he instantly recognized as Rukmini, Krishna's first wife, "Bhaama! Is it the way to talk to a guest?!" she chided with a nod to him, "Why do you want to throw him out of the palace?"
"I'm not throwing him out of the palace."
"Very well, apologies, why are you throwing him out of the garden? Is it necessary?"
"Is it very fair to let an unknown man roam around in my garden?"
"You're right, but-"
Arjun spoke up, "Rukmini, Tell her! Don't you know me?"

Rukmini glanced again at Satyabhaama. Noting the shadow of a smile playing around her lips, she replied, "Even if I do know you, I most certainly do not remember you at the moment."
Arjun looked at her with a hurt expression. He knew how to deal with a thousand enemies on the battlefield, but a woman's mind still eluded him.

"So," began Satyabhaama, "Would you care to walk, or shall I call for a palanquin?"
"I'll walk. But who are you?"
"Why? Will you go complain to the Prince?"
"No! Why would I bother?!" said Arjun, as he walked away with his nose in the air, his brain still confused. He was actually going to complain about her to Krishna!

-'-'-

As he went away, Rukmini turned to Satyabhaama, "Say! Didn't you recognize brother Arjun?"
"Of course I did. This Arjun is so easy to know! Dark skinned, scarred all over, handsome. The most difficult of the signs was of course to notice the Gandeev- clinging on to him like the inamorata!" Satyabhaama giggled
Rukmini shushed her and asked, "You said 'this' Arjun?"
"Ah, the stories we hear! Why, we'd be having the second one soon!"
"Oh! Shame on you, Bhaama!"
Rukmini blushed while Satyabhaama laughed.

-'-'-

Balaraam chuckled loudly to hear of Arjun's latest adventure. Satyaki narrowed his eyes, "Why must the best archer in the world be defeated by a woman?" Balaraam thumped him on the back, "Ah, Satyaki, all men are defeated by women, why must our Arjun be the exception?!" Arjun was irritated and turned to Krishna. "Krishna, do you know who it was with Rukmini?"
"What colour did she wear?"
"Sky-blue, but seriously?"
"Ah then it must be Bhaama. She's rather fond of that colour. I'm sorry, I should have warned you. Come!"

-'-'-

All the servants were frozen at their positions while the Prince passed with his companion. Entering his chambers, calling out loudly to his wives. It was against the general norms, but then, when had Krishna Kansamardan Yadav ever bothered with norms?!

Within a few seconds his three wives arrived from their respective chambers and, just to mention, were startled to see Arjun with their husband.

Krishna greeted each with a smile and introduced them to Arjun. "That's Rukmini. You've already met her and she's very nice." Rukmini blushed, but looked up immediately to say something, but Krishna put his hand on her lips and said, "My shoes are out of the room, it's he who didn't bother. And, that's Jambavati; she's a bear and likes green." Jambavati greeted Arjun with a smile, and her husband with a glare. Then she gestured her maid to bring them some water to drink.
"And, she's my youngest. Till now." he said, pointing at Bhaama, to earn a glare from her, "Satyabhaama. Loves make-up and archery. Insane combination, I know, but I can bet upon the fact that you won't find an entirely sane person in Dwarka."

"Archery." said Arjun, still eyeing her with suspicion.
"Oh yes! I forgot!" Pushing both of them lightly he exclaimed, "Birds of a feather, go flock somewhere else! This is a 'no-shooting' area!"

"I'm not going anywhere with him!" Satyabhaama snapped.
"Neither am I."  Arjun retorted.
"How can you not go with yourself?" giggled Bhaama.
"I meant you!"
"You didn't take my name, proved that you don't want to be with yourself!"
"If you are determined not to understand, then don't. Krishna!"

Krishna immediately looked away while Rukmini and Jambavati embarked on a hushed conversation.

"What will he say?" said Satyabhaama angrily.
"Don't you dare, okay?"
"What I do dare?"
"Then I'll just turn around and let you unleash your fury before the walls."
"Guess that's what you do with Draupadi. Don't you?"
"She's never angry with me!"
"So what makes you think I am?"
"Huh?"
"I must have a word with her about you."
"Like, seriously?"
"What?"
"You're not angry?"
"Why should I be?"
"Because I upset you in the garden?"
"So you accept that you were wrong?"
"No, I never-"
"Forget that! You've accepted you were wrong, and I, Satyabhaama the daughter of Satrajit, hereby, forgive you. Friends?"
"You're crazy!"
"I don't deny that. Friends?"
"Yeah, whatever."

Krishna who was smiling at them, spoke, "Brilliant! Now you can listen to her banter, while I do some work in peace."
"Don't you dare!" said Satyabhaama while Krishna chuckled followed by the others.

A well written OS Radhika !  Loved  the teasing faced by Arjun and the fierce nature of Satyabhama , and the easily persuadable Rukmini's words in between ! Highly imaginative with a special spark of your distinctive  style of writing ! ๐Ÿ‘
