IKRS Sunday 27th March 2016 ep 200 My Take ~ killing her softly with flowers!
We express our selves through set indicators of actions, words and props.To me the episode begins with the signal of Dhani in the morning after the night bride, with wet dripping tresses normally equated with consummation night. On the other hand it may well be the required early morning ablution before worship. Thinking about which though, one look at the walls tells her their room was Viplav's room initially so his images hung from the walls. But from where Dhani hails ,a deities is imperative for the sake of personal and domestic blessings .. Till she realizes her god lay asleep on the floor. Stereotypical scene where the good newlywed wife wakes up by the crack of dawn while husband has a lye in! Dhani's love blooms and so does her sense of coquettish familiarity with her husband and playfully she drips droplets of water on his face ! a few traces of the features of her sleeping Viplav she undertakes with her wet hair ends! Sweet nothings happen and Viplav awakens to her surprise! tells her drowsily romantically he dreamt his pretty bathed wife came close, shook her wet hair on his face! which is now reason enough for him to qualify for a kiss by her . Giggles, tease shirking away from Dhani , gives Viplav once again the chance to bury his nose in his pillow and catch a few winks!
Like eyes that snoop for indicative loop holes against Dhani. Finding Viplav sleeping on the floor is sign enough for Kanak that Dhani has begun her conquest of reforming Viplav into what she wants him to be. Kanak is full of disdain at seeing her lordly son now sleeping rough ! on the hard floor it is Dhani's style menial lowly like but not her babu's way of life. this is reason enough for her to have a go at this Dhani rani! witch.
With body language indicators of flashing eyes and surly tongue Kanak bars Dhani from carrying out worship before the domestic altar. Dhani is harshly pushed back to the temple where she worshipped at before. Kanak is hell bent in reverting Dhani to her widow life. But Dhani sticks to her guns by not moving. Begs to be allowed to do puja. Kanak snatches a flower off Dhani's puja platter and throws it like a stone in dhani's face, what pot luck this inauspicious widow has! Kanak mocks Dhani ,with envy and such bitterness, this chit of a girl after killing her first husband, she has the chance to remarry and experience her life with two husbands! there is frustration in Kanak's voice it's like she is denied the opportunity that Dhani has been afforded . Dhani is smacked by flowers on her face by Kanak but it's her words would Dhani kill Viplav once she's done with her that hurts her most! But Dhani with tenacity wants to be part of every one's life not just Viplav's ! this puts Kanak's monopoly over the house in jeopardy and she degrades Dhani by offering to buy her out at an asking price! abuses Dhani's virtue as her sons' wife and offers she'll get her married to some old man with one foot in the grave! who will die eventually and leave her his money!is this then.. a concealed chilling hushed reference to her and babu ji's bond? a few more slaps on Dhani's face from Kanak with the worship flowers !and Dhani slaps Kanak back with a rebuttal , only use words that call for respect then reject! Dhani then plays the game too, as she eyes Viplav approaching and slowly she bends and touches Kanak's feet to indicate to Viplav that all is amicable between her and Kanak, but Dhani also at the same time signals to her mother in law that her son is watching them from behind her ! Kanak rejects Dhani's patronising and wafts off disdainfully. As a typical husband who looks out for the welfare of his wife at the hands of his difficult mother, he wants to know what transpired between the two? but Dhani only tells, him needs to know facts that avoid grievances between him and mother.
The indicators of matrimonial bliss when Viplav fusses about his wife setting his clothes out for him!a bit of wife's leg pulling! and then Viplav assures her he's one husband who does his own jobs and in fact gives Dhani a hand at moving the bedding from the floor to the bed!viplav's aim is to share responsibility , by allowing his wife time for herself too! as predominately he is a new age man !everything about him is to celebrate his wife's emancipation in home management as his wife and not his maid ,he rather not weigh her down with all that goes on in their life.. even him!
Dulari wants to point out to the community around her that Dhani is a married woman now,in the form of a small get together,she has sita maa, Rajlaxmi's support.
The refusal to accept arti and offertory is both subtle and obvious an indicator to Dhani,she needs to maintain faith in things moving towards betterment one day ! Shalu refuses on the basis of unclean. While Kanak points out at her fate that has now turned her from a married woman into a widow! while Dhani has changed from a widow to being a married woman how the tables have turned! providence has given the humble widow Dhani happiness of married life she lacked before in her married life.. and haughty Kanak has been humbled and brought down by destiny to the status of widow hood she in the past condemned ! As destiny has it , dadi will continue to empower Dhani in moments of weakness..
friends are comely indicators of close connections other than family in ones life. Viplav meets his and confides to them that he will take Dhani to USA for a trip. Rajlaxmi phones and teases Dhani about marital liaisons with Viplav! Dhani shy's away and Raj laxmi invites her for havan Dhani says she would come.. Raj laxmi asks about Shalu's attitude towards her? Dhani is hesitant to take about her.. #Shalu's attitude towards Dhani is unforgiving and uncompromising. As Raja's self appointed spy of the tirpathi's household she informs him Dhani is winning goodwill and amassing blessings from the family! He dupes her, she should accept Dhani as her sister in law but Shalu instead admits she cannot! as she ruined her marriage with him ,whom she has already considered as her husband! Raja gloats at Shalu's infatuation with him.. His mother slices off a rosy apple like feeding him the sweet Shalu who will bring for them the sweet taste of money power like the apple they will all scrounge off her! Dhani enters Shalu's room to have a word with her. Raja hears her voice on the phone and bids Shalu to let him hear out what she has to say.. Dhani admits she considers her as a friend was pleased about her wedding but when she found out with who? she had to stop her from marrying that low life Raja!.. He is not human but an animal.. She'd better stay away from him, he'll try to get close to her.. But Dhani warns her only sister in law against Raja's, lecherous ways ! Raja fumes and Dhani's words incites him to war !But his mother consoles him, it's like the silly shalini is head over heels in love with him! He admits before his mother.. shalini is a small fish compared to the big whale he has in his grasp!.. who will lead him to that house! Dhani on the other hand is sincere and offers her friendship to Shalu if ever she needs to talk

fate has tried to humble her but Kanak's attitude reeks of haughty arrogance! kanak in a white sari kneads flour.. Dhani steps in the kitchen to give
her a helping hand! but she shrieks and bans Dhani from entering the kitchen by saying a widow cannot enter the kitchen!and then one look at
Dhani's blue sari, realizes that providence
had in fact changed their status! in rage she calls for ramdin and sees Dhani
stands behind him..in sheer frustrated rage
she seemingly hurls it ramdin whom she yells at! but really! it's Dhani she targets!
and the hurled rolling pin hits Dhani on the forehead! Dhani's protector is
right behind her!!..
A pleasant episode, as far as the newly married couple is concerned.. Kanak is the burn the bhau saas! expected. viplav is protective.. I wonder what happens when he goes back to work?? shalu bambozzled with the jerk! raja.. wish dhani would tell shalu he tried to assualt her whenever the opportunity arose.. there is lot of references to providence.. what goes around comes around.. hamlet53 28.3.16
precap: viplav loses his rag over rolling pin incident, even threatens if such behaviour continues he will have no choice but to leave house.. well dhani will oppose it! he makes a reference to his mother and tripurari.. that seemed to shock kanak..
