Baby steps to work
(Havent read any comments since Monday, the 50th topic would reload on the 1st page... I happened to read it many many times. I recall someone had posted, I had written a different scene relating to discovery of pregnancy with Sahana. Since its all the future I just write these fantasy parts.
The way the story moves could be completely different from how I write these "future phantasee" chapters.😆)
She was "ok" Monday 14th September. She didnt exactly have R&B or Ranjan's blessing to go to work, but she attempted to anyway, by avoiding her morning coffee
She packed a bunch of fluids from coconutwater to clear juice to crackers to fruit and avoided food. Amma had sent some idlis with her
She took a couple
"I am going to try and get in to work for a couple hours" she mumbled as he shaved at 9:18 AM
He didnt nod, just rinsed his razor off
"U dont have to be upset" she reminded
He didnt say anything
"I forget... I married a man that doesnt like to talk when he is upset... or happy or sad or angry" she listed
"I told Dad" she muttered
He shut the faucet off and shook the razor
"He atleast said take care" she whispered
He set the razor down and dragged her closer" she leaned on his chest and runned his foamy neck with her nose
"Do u need a ride?" he asked
"I just need a back massage" she smiled
He rubbed her back firmly, lower, kneading... "Better?" he asked softly
"I guess... u are rushing though" she teased
He hugged her tight... "call me when u get in" he ordered
"U call me or send me a selfie when u are done shaving" she chuckled
He placed his cool moist smooth cheek on hers... she groaned reveling in the familiar scent and feel
I think I like toothpaste and shave cream scent for now, I need to spray it on food" she chuckled
His phone rang, she gently pulled away
Picked up a couple of extra scuncies and left with a "Bye"
The bobbing elevator made her bauseous at work. It was a fascinating feeling to return to the same places after getting pregnant
and "seeing and feeling" different things
The driver was slll...oww and smooth, taking an extra 20 minutes getting her to work
She met some Treasury and Regulations employees in the elevator returning from a meeting, it was past 11 AM
Nobody"CAME IN " at that time in Accounting, she didnt know their names.
IS YOUR TEAM HIRING?'
UMM.. NO... I MEAN IS THERE A JOB FOR ME IN YOUR TEAM?
OH BTW MY NAME IS II I WORK IN TRANSPRO DEPLOYMENT

7th floor happened to come by faster than she thought.
They smiled and got off turning left as she turned right
Bally and Ritu chatted in the hallway
She felt a strange tightness in her lower belly
Surreptiously feeling it.. there was "tightness" she hadnt experienced before
A warm flush soaked her whole body
"WOWWW A BABY..
I ACTUALLY HAVE A LIL HUMAN INSIDE OF ME
I MEAN HOW MANY OF U CAN SAY THAT ABOUT YOURSELF
OH MY GOSH
The receptionist smiled
"HI! II are u better? Did u have the flu?"Ramona in Risk Assessment also had it"
II smiled, half nodding...
Bally turned to look
"Hey kid!!" he smiled
Ritu worked her muscles trying to do the same
GREATTT!!
SHE IS STILL UPSET?
PINNE?/ WHAT DO U THINK?
SHE PROBABLY THINKS "BALLY'S PROTEGE COMES AND GOES AS SHE PLEASES".
"SHE KNOWS. AND IVE TOLD HER"

II exhaled worriedly getting to Bally
He hugged her"Congrats and welcome to both of u" he laughed in her ear
"Thanks from both of us" she whispered back
"Hi! II... are u feeling better?' R asked
"A lil" II smiled "thanks Ritu
Ritu saw the huge bag II carried with the 15 bottles of liquids
"Home made food?"
"No store bought liquids" II smiled
"If u are still sick... u could have taken time off" Ritu smiled
"I am much better today thanks" II squirmed uncomfortably
Bally'sphone pinged "Chalo u two take it from here my 11:30 is 18 minutes away... I have to go speak with Legal on the Phoenix dataware thing"
"Kya hua?" II asked
"Just another day... one of the codes behind how a product table works with the
pricing table apparently was "stolen architecture" and Phoenix wants to"talk" Bally said thoughtfully
YES... ANOTHER DAY...
II exhaled... walking towards a cube
Ritu turned and walked towards the lobby not bothering to make any more small talk now that Bally was gone
