Anurag should have stuck to one angle and build around it. I don't think love story was required, but if he went there then that should have been build properly given the way he seemed to have made both characters have some tragic past. I might just catch it for KJo . Also the Baz Luhrmann treatment is not for everyone.

Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma starrer Bombay Velvet has opened to a dull occupancy for the morning shows. The occupancy was as low as 15% at the multiplexes. The film was expected to open well since Ranbir Kapoor's last film Roy enjoyed a great opening.
Looking at the poor occupancy, it is quite clear that the film may not be making a remarkable opening collection. Since this urban niche drama is a high-budget film, it is going to be a rocky road for the producers if the film starts out on a low note.
It needs to make a promising collection over the weekend to pull off a decent business. The single screens were on an all time low and since the film's content is quite niche, it seems impossible for it to survive in the single screens.
