The ongoing track of Star Plus serial "Diya Aur Baati Hum" it is seen that Sooraj (Anas Rashid) has reached the village where Sandhya (Deepika Singh) has been held captive by the Garjana Sangathan and he is taking careful steps to ensure his beloved wife comes out of the ordeal unhurt.
Garjana Sangathan is ready to fire the nuclear bomb in Pushkar to seek revenge from the Indian government for not meeting their demands.
With the help of Sandhya's boss, Officer Bharat (Jiten Lalwani), Suraj has managed to land in the village as a halwai to cook sweets for the celebrations being organised in the village. However, his real agenda is to save Sandhya and ruin the attack planned by GS.
In the latest episode, Sooraj vows to drink water only when he helps Sandhya quenching her thirst. He overhears the men belonging to GS talking in a lecherous tone about offering wine to Sandhya. Sooraj gets angry to hear this plan and ensures that Sandhya does not drink the wine or else it would be impossible for her to escape from the dungeon. Hence, Sooraj changes the wine with water without inviting the attention of the men. Sandhya drinks the water offered to her via the pipe by the nasty men of the Garjana Sangathan.
On the other hand, Suraj gets satisfied to see Sandhya's thirst quenched and fulfils his vow. On Sandhya's directions, he picks a few leaves of some wild plant to mix in the mithais for the fest. He smartly mixes the leaves in the sweets to intoxicate the GS men so that he can release Sandhya and help her fulfil her mission in stopping the missile attack. Despite some roadblocks, Suraj ends up making the sweets. He goes offering the sweets to the GS men during the celebrations. Chandrashekhar (Aadesh Chaudhary) asks Suraj to taste the sweets first and then offer to them.
Suraj remembers Sandhya advising him to make a few sweets for himself as the Garjana men would surely ask him to taste the sweets first. Suraj picks a few "safe" sweets for himself and satisfies Chandu's doubts. Then after, the GS men indulge in eating the sweets and soon fall down unconscious. Suraj watches this development and taking advantage of the favourable situation, he rushes to release Sandhya. He gets shocked to see Sandhya missing and goes searching for her everywhere in the village and the jungle. Back in Pushkar, celebrations and preparations to bring Suraj's new bride home go on in full swing. Meenakshi tries various tricks to know what the real plan of Bhabho is, but fails in all her attempts. Meanwhile, a man wrapped in a woollen blanket drags Sandhya against her wishes into the jungle. He reveals his face by taking off the blanket. To Sandhya's shock, he turns out to be Himanshu Dubey, the man who Sandhya had trapped by posing to be a nave Bengali woman Sagarika Das.
He blasts Sandhya for daring to dupe him to enter the Garjana Sangathan and tortures her further.
On the other hand, Suraj searches for Sandhya like crazy and comes across a badge of hers with her name written on it. He gets the clue that Sandhya is around somewhere.
Later, in the future episodes it will be seen that Sooraj manages to find Sandhya but Himashoo will tie up him up and forcefully marry Sandhya in front of him.
However, Sooraj will manage to free himself by breaking the ropes and stop Himanshu from putting sindoor on her forehead right in time.
Seems like finally Sooraj and Sandhya will finally reunite forever. OR will there will yet another major twist?
