Iccha's mai Vaishali Thakkar turns negative for 'Diya Aur Baati Hum':

Yet another entry is lined up for the TV show 'Diya Aur Baati Hum'. Veteran actress Vaishali Thakkar, who became popular as Iccha's mother in 'Uttaran', is all set to enter the show. But her new outing will be a far cry from her role in the previous show. She will be seen in a negative role as opposed to her doting mother character in her last show. She will be seen as Amit Dohlawat's mother. Reveals a source, "Vaishali will play Manjari, a strong Bengali character, with grey shades and is rigid by nature. She hates Sandhya (Deepika Singh) and will leave no stone unturned to make her life hell."

Diya Aur Baati Hum's Sandhya aka Deepika Singh is kidnapped by the terrorist group and is tortured to get information regarding Himanshu. Bhabho, on the other hand, has cut all ties with Sandhya. As planned in the secret mission, Sandhya (Deepika Singh) manages to get kidnapped by the terrorists, who assume she has information the police need about Himanshu. Not wanting to risk police knowing anything she knows about them, the anti-social group successfully manage to kidnap Sagarika Das aka Sandhya.

Back home, Sooraj (Anas Rashid) is living in isolation and the rest of the family, especially Bhabho, are starting to move on from Sandhya. Bhabho ordered everyone to not dare talk about Sandhya in the house. And when Zakhir brings the gold medal Sandhya would have got awarded from the government for her service, Bhabho refuses to acknowledge it and throws the medal out. The upcoming episode of Diya Aur Baati Hum will have Sandhya proving to the terrorists that she knows nothing even when they torture her for anything she knows. Let's wait and watch if Sandhya manages to stay strong through the torturing and emerge victorious again by gaining information about them in return.

Actress Rati Pandey will next be seen playing the new girl in Sooraj Rathi's (Anas Rashid) life in popular soap opera "Diya Aur Baati Hum".

Bhabho (Neelu Vaghela) believes that a new girl Lalima (Rati Pandey) in his life will resolve the issue.

Actress Rati Pandey, best known for her roles in shows like "Miley Jab Hum Tum" and "Hitler Didi", will next be seen playing the new girl in Sooraj Rathi's (Anas Rashid) life in popular soap opera "Diya Aur Baati Hum".

As the show has taken a three-month leap, where Sandhya (Deepika Singh) has been kidnapped by a terrorist group and Sooraj has become unstable, his mother Bhabho (Neelu Vaghela) believes that a new girl in his life will resolve the issue. Bhabho is getting a new girl, Lalima (Rati) in his life, read a statement.

Rati, who has been dating Anas for a while, used to visit many times on the set of the Star Plus show. So the production is considering her as their chemistry is looking good on TV.
