Ranveer will not be doing intouchables although Mohit and Ranveer know each since school days and are close friends...
There is a higher chance Ranveer might do Half-girlfriend (prod house followed, he followed mohit n prod house) compared to intouchables if he doesn't get a bigger movie (bigger director). The subtle hints were there for AL Rai movie (meeting with eros n al rai).
Another movie which Ranveer might be considered first is the movie directed by Aditya Chopra. This actually might be the inner reason why he hasn't signed anything yet.
He will definitely be approached for ram-lakhan remake too.
These are all the possibilities at this point.

PS2 the movie intouchables remake is already ruined if the actors will be of same age. the original worked because of the story of old guy care-taking by young boy, that was the essence. Mohit is no great story teller. He has knack for music though
