Chapter 2:
Laksh yawned the next morning. For some reason it had been really quiet. He quickly washed up, wore his clothes, styled his hair and put on his shoes.
As he strolled down the majestic stairs, he began feeling a sense of worry.
"Mother? Father? Sanskaar Bro, I mean, brother, Adarsh Brother? Anyone at home?" Laksh called and received nothing but thin air.
"I wonder where everyone went," He said, confused. Then he spotted a note on the royal coffee table. He picked it up and began reading it.
Good morning Laksh!
You must be wondering where we are, but don't worry, we're all safe. Just doing something very important. We'll explain it to you when we get home. We'll be there tomorrow at this hour.

Laksh began concerning. Then his mind filled up with many theories. They could've gone to meet someone. Or maybe to a funeral. But nothing too serious.
His phone began ringing, and it was Swara. He picked it up.
"Hi Laksh," She said.
"Oh, um, hi Swara," Laksh replied, distracted by the letter.
"Is everything okay, Laksh?" Swara asked. Laksh forced a yes.
"Yeah, everything is fine," Laksh replied.
"Laksh, did anyone tell you your a terrible liar?" Swara asked. Laksh just put on a faint smile.
"Swara, my entire family's gone somewhere, and left me a note, not quite explaining their location," Laksh said, feeling the weight of burden lift from his shoulders.
"Oh, how about I come over and accompany you?" Swara offered.
"It's ok Swara, you're probably busy," Laksh said.
"Alright then, it's decided, I'm coming over in ten minutes," Swara said. Laksh smiled.
She knew how to make him smile, always.
"Alright then," Laksh replied, before hanging up the phone.
Laksh saw Swara come in and argue with watchman. He cracked a smile. That girl knows how to argue.
"Let her come in, she's my friend, Swara, always let her in," Laksh said.
Swara smiled at Laksh.
Then followed him inside.
"So, Laksh, where's the letter?" Swara asked.
"Oh, it's here," He said, pulling out a small piece of paper from his pocket.
Swara read the letter, and then looked at Laksh.
Laksh raised his eye brows.
Swara shrugged.
"Laksh, I think your family's gone to meet someone," Swara said.
"How can you tell?" Laksh asked.
Swara smiled.
"This phone book told me," She said, gesturing towards a book flat open on a certain page.
"Oh, this my my Dad's brother's number, he lives in Goa," Laksh said.
Swara looked at him.
"I wonder what made all of your family go, leaving you behind?" She said.
Laksh nodded and then called his brother, Adarsh.
After a few rings, he picked up the phone.
"Good morning, Laksh," Adarsh said.
"Morning, Adarsh Brother, um, where's everyone?" Laksh asked.
"Oh, yes, sorry about that, Laksh. The thing is, we're in Goa. Father's brother had invited us for his thirty two anniversary. We knew you'd be quite bored, so we're in Goa, for a few hours, and will be back in a day, okay?" He explained.
Laksh nodded.
"Okay, then, see you tomorrow," Laksh replied, hanging up the phone. He turned towards Swara who smiled at him.
"I told you," She smiled.
Laksh bent down near Swara's ear.
"Typical Swara," He whispered, and she closed her eyes, for some reason she had enjoyed it.
Swara moved back, sitting on the sofa, while Laksh moved forward a smile on his face.
Swara closed he eyes. 'No Swara, Ragini loves him, you can't do this' She thought. She opened her eyes, and stood up.
"I, er, need to call my Mum," She said, blushing. She pulled out her phone, and noticed that her Mum had given her five teen miss calls. She called her Mum.
As soon as her Mum picked up the phone, she noticed something was wrong.
Her Mum was crying.
"Swara," Her Mum sniffed.
"Mum, what's wrong?" Swara asked, feeling scared.
"Swara... your... Dad, just had a major accident and his in hospital, in the ICQ," Her Mum wailed. Swara couldn't believe her ears.
Her Dad, has just gotten in an accident and she wasn't even there? She turned around to see Laksh, and lost all her energy.
She collapsed on the marble floor, and began pouring out. Laksh grabbed her by the the shoulders, and rested her head on his chest.
"It's okay Swara," Laksh, putting his arms around her.
Swara settled herself in his arms as she cried more and more.
Laksh hadn't realised it, but little crystals were forming in his eyes too.
"I have to get to the hospital," Swara said. Then she realised her position. Laksh lifted her chin up, and looked deep into her eyes. 'I love her...' He thought. Then Swara snapped out, and moved back, her eyes glued to the ground.
"Er, bye Laksh," She said, approaching towards the door, when the guard came barging in.
"Laksh Sir! There's a huge storm outside, police is going around, warning people to stay in their home! I'll have to go home," The man pleaded, to which Laksh nodded.
"Okay, you can go,".
The guard was ready to leave when he saw Swara.
"If I were you, Ma'am, then I won't step out of this palace," He advised.
Swara's eyes widened.
"But my home-" Swara began.
"The storm can kill you, Swara Ma'am, it's really crazy." The guard said, before leaving.
Swara looked at Laksh, then was about to leave.
"Stop Swara," Laksh shouted to which Swara stopped.
"You'll stay here till the storm's gone," He smiled. Swara returned a faint smile.
"I'm pretty sure your Dad will be alright," Laksh said.
"But Laksh, I can't sta-" Swara began, but was stopped when Laksh put a hand over her mouth.
"Your staying here, it's decided," Laksh said, a reassuring smile on his face. Swara nodded.
"But Laksh, I don't have any clothes to wear," Swara said.
"You can wear mine," He said. Swara hesitated, then agreed as it was her only choice.
"Thanks Laksh," She replied.
"No probs," He said.
"Hey, how about a tour?" He offered. Swara smiled.
Laksh showed her his bedroom and showed a selection of clothes.
Took a plain white Kurta Pyjama. But the trouser was too big, so she just put on his shirt. She was staying in the guest room, which was right next to Laksh's room.
She heard thunder and lightnings. Time had flown by so quickly and it was already night. She gently layed down on the bed, and closed her eyes. But the thunders scared her, and she couldn't go to sleep, when she heard a knock on her door.
"Come in," She said. And Laksh came in.
"Hi Swara, just wanted to make sure everything's alright." Laksh said, he had two hot choc with him.
He came and say down next to her, passing her a cup.
Swara took a sip and admired the choc drink. Soon both had finished their drinks, and Laksh was about to leave, when a thunder sent Swara grabbing onto Laksh's arm. She closed her eyes and held tightly onto his arm.
He smiled at her.
"Swara, are you scared of thunders?" Laksh asked.
Swara looked at him.
"No, I'm scared of the sound they make," Swara replied.
Laksh smiled.
Before getting up to walk away.
"Laksh!" Swara called. Laksh stopped.
"Can you stay here, tonight?" Swara asked, blushing. Laksh looked at her...
