Oh alright
Chapter 1:
Laksh was styling his hair. As usual. After helping Swara expose Ragini's Grandmother. That was difficult, but the plan worked great.
He smiled. Swara. Then it hit him.
"Father!!" A loud shout disturbed his thoughts. He shook his head, and immediately realised that it was Sanskaar.
Sanskaar was Laksh's older brother, they had thought that after an incident, his brother had committed suicide. But he had survived, but in state of total loss of consciousness. 'He had lost it! Yep, but everything worked out,' He thought, then decided to head down stairs.
He arrived to find his brother talking to his Dad. Laksh was also known as Lucky. Because he was a bad boy. Something you won't see in a traditional family.
But Sanskaar used to be like that. His the one who nicknamed Laksh Lucky. Yep. That's his name. Laksh 'Lucky' Mehashwari.
He hadn't noticed what a good boy Sanskaar had become. That's a miracle only one person can do. Ragini.
Ragini was Swara's step sister. They ignored the fact that they were step, but always treated each other with sibling love.
She loves him. But he doesn't love her. He can't love her. She's traditional, principled, shy girl. And him? A modern bad boy. But what made him laugh was that the two sisters were completely different.
One was quiet, timid, traditional. Then the other was outspoken, brave, caring and modern.
He sighed. He had to meet Swara. They had become good friends over the time. Their first not so friendly meeting kept repeating in his head.
At Swara's 'Badi' or building:
"What is it, Laksh?" Swara asked, rubbing her eyes.
"It's nine thirty in the morning, let me go to sleep!" Swara murmured, her hazel eyes half closed.
"Man, wake up sleepy head!" Laksh said.
"Can't, now get straight to the point! I need my dream time!" Swara moaned.
"First, answer one of my questions. Do I come in your dreams?" Laksh teased.
"Yeah, you do. But I refer to them as nightmares!" Swara laughed, leaving a grumpy Laksh.
"Anyways, is anyone home?" He asked.
Swara shook her head.
"Nope. Mum has gone shopping with Dida (Gran), Ragini has gone to pray at temple with Dadi (Grandmother from Dad's side). Dad has gone to his office. And all that!" Swara said, jumping off the bed, but still clutching onto her phone.
"Oh, alright. Count upto ten," He said.
"Why?" Swara asked.
"Just do it!" Laksh said.
"Alright," Swara sighed.
Then began counting. She had already brushed her teeth and combed her hair, gotten dressed. "...eight, nine-" Swara stopped.
"Ten," Laksh finished, standing at her bedroom door.
"Laksh! What the heck are you doing here?" She asked.
"Nothing, just came to pay a visit, anything wrong in that?" He asked, smiling as he approached her.
"No, nothing wrong," Swara said, smiling.
"So, hey! Your bedroom's changed! At least from the last time I've been here," Laksh said, having a look around.
"Oh, yeah, I had a little makeover," Swara sat down at the edge of the bed.
"Come on, sit down then," Swara patted a space beside her. Laksh accepted the invite, and sat down.
"How's Dida and Sharmishta Ma'am?" Laksh asked.
"They're fine, how's Sanskaar now?" Swara asked, a sparkle in her eyes.
"His fine now, how's Ragini?" He said, smiling.
"Oh, she's fine. But, Laksh, you don't need to hide it anymore. I know you're starting to like Ragini, now," Swara said, getting up and walking towards the door.
"What!" Laksh shouted, getting up.
"Shhh, yeah, I know," Swara smiled that cheeky smile.
"Swara, like I said before, I don't like Ragini," Laksh said. Swara smiled.
"Sure," She said, getting closer to him.
"I'm serious, Swara," He said, stunned by her beauty.
"Yep, typical Laksh," She said, giggling.
Then with a sudden flash, she crashed down on the bed, pulling Laksh along.
They fell, their noses touching, their eyes meeting and paralysed. Swara loosened her grip on Laksh's collar, still staring deep into his chocolate brown eyes. They seemed to get closer, was it some kind of attraction?
"Swara!" A lady's voice interupted their moment, and Swara's cheek began burning.
She looked at the door, and surprisingly it was locked. She looked at Laksh.
Locked door, with a boy here, Mum will think something wrong! She saw it burst open, and her Mum and Dad standing there, in shock.
Laksh and Swara exchanged looks.
"Anyways, thanks for the notes, Swara, man, miss day of college and seems like you missed a year," Laksh said, grabbing onto the nearest book. He gulped hard.
"Oh, no problem, Laksh, what are friends for?" Swara lied, smiling at him.
Laksh acted to notice the two figures standing at the doorway.
"Oh! Sir and Sharmishta Ma'am, you both are here, I didn't notice! My bad," Laksh lied, he waved bye to Swara and her parents.
"Bye! Thanks again for the notes!" Laksh said, leaving the house.
As soon as he left, both of Swara's parents turned towards her. She smiled and walked past. Sharmishta and Shekher looked at eachother, dumbfounded.
"That was a close call!" Laksh said, holding his phone close.
"Tell me bout it! Mum and Dad were so confused after that, you should've seen their face!" Swara laughed. Laksh joined in.
"So, hey, I've got your picture album. You looked so cute!" Laksh said, flipping through the pages.
"What! You've got my Album. Don't you dare look in it!" Swara yelled.
"Swara, man, you were sooo cute," Laksh teased her.
"What do you mean looked cute. Am I not cute now?" Swara inquired.
"Swara, your probably the most cutest, gorgeous person I've ever met in my entire life," Laksh said, gazing at the phone, a smile on his face.
"Huh? What do you mean... Laksh?" Swara murmured.
Laksh quickly snapped. What was wrong with him?
"Can't believe you fell for that!" Laksh laughed.
"Laksh!" Swara moaned.
"Hey! There's a picture of you in your nappy. Aww, so cute!" Laksh laughed.
"Put that down right now!!" Swara yelled.
"Make me," Laksh whispered.
Swara then saw Laksh a few blocks from her. He smiled at her.
She walked upto him.
"Give me that!" She cried, almost reaching the book. Laksh pulled away.
"Never!" He said, and the chase began...
