Superstar in doing blockbusters i guess and having stardom huge fans. Sorry but i dont see Ranbir fulffilling that position somehow..  I was more thinking of Siddhart, Ranveer or even Varun. Or maybe yet to come.

If Fawad Khan was Indian , not a foreigner he would have been young SRK but alas he is a foreign actor who also belongs to India's arch-rival country.

Ranbir is loosing his charm, Ranveer depends on his female co-stars Anushka and Deepika, Varun is Govinda type actor, Sidharth is wooden non actor.

Such statements are made around the end of every era.

No big deal.

Same things were said when DK-Dev-Raj trinity grew old, then when Kaka-AB-Dharam aged.

Nobody thought Khans would scale such heights either, when they were new.

Superstardom is built gradually. And once they sustain, fans start believing they were superstars from day one, because that's how narratives are built.

Content, inflated ticket prices, holiday release dates and mega marketing blitzkrieg are the real superstars now.

The films selling solely on name kind of stardom comes later, with years of building credibility or nurturing fanbase.

Superstars come and go in every era. No one is indispensable.

As if people would lose their worshiping trait 10 years from now.
