he thought that now she hated him

so he did not try to contact her at all

he kept his word of not showing his face 

I guess Shiv didn't love DD enough like Sid does. Roshni also told Sid not to show his face many times but our Sid never gives up on his lady love. This is called true love. He is always positive that he will get her back and he did.

it was sad to see when he finally got the money poor Rohan was already dead

I personally don't want to necessarily comment on Shiv and his intentions as we are yet to know his side of the story.

Like nani said to roshni, we couldn't take a decision just listening to one side of a truth... If sid is supporting shiv means then he may have a strong reason for it so we have to wait to see shiv side of a story too...😊
