the reason he will do few films is because he has certain physical illnesses...his personal life was in mess due to divorce and before divorce...
Stardom doesn't mean anything in real life...He is still popular right after Khans...who cares about stardom when you need to take care of your health

3 things

1) his off screen personality is repulsive especially when he tries to be funny

2) his range as an actor is limited..can't do comedy to save his life..also pretty weak in slice of life kinda movies and may i add the weakest link of ZNMD. There is only a limit of people watching him do action..you get bored

3) no active pr..today when actors like ranbir etc spread fake marriage news then deny it during the time of their release etc to stay in news and hype themselves..HR is one of the very few who actually means it when he says his personal life is personal..unlike today's actors who say and then let their pr spread stuff...that does make him less in news and as we know any publicity is good publicity..hypes you up

He never did multiple projects a year . An when he did in 2010 (kites and guzarish) they end up as disasters

Not true. He did Dhoom 2 and Krrish in 2006 and both were blockbusters

even shah rukh and salman bhai are not #1 star today. they are sitting at #2 and #3 spots.

so no big deal.

he is at #1 after 'Khans',..

reasons,..
too less # of films
no comedies, the genre that connects you with audience,.
less fans interactions
the time he bounced back,.. khans were already established and in-destructible
