Yeah, I was replaying that scene again and again.  She really looked terrified and her mind was locked with the bad memories of Pandit.  She could not even see or hear Manik in front of her.  She looked very tiny huddled in the corner.  Niti really nailed it.  

There was no OTT drama in the total kidnapping fiasco and the trauma later.  With Pandit and his bad memories occupying the brain, it was obvious she wouldnt let anyone come near her.
