Chapter 20
Next day Karan and Randhir went to Karan's school to drop him.
"Apna khayal rakhna Karan. And don't forget to call me. And don't create problems for them", Randhir said pointing at Karan's bodyguards.
"Yes dad. I will call you daily, will not misbehave with THEM. Anything else?", Karan said sarcastically.
"No", Randhir said disappointed.
"Oh dad don't act like this. I know you want to say something", Karan very well knew that Randhir wanted to say something.
"Nahi kehna kuch bhi", Randhir said and turned around to hid his emotions.
Karan understood his feelings and made Randhir looked at him.
"Look at me dad. Aap ro raye ho?", Karan asked innocently.
"No", Randhir nodded his head like a child.
"Yes you are crying", Karan said and Randhir immediately hugged him.
Though Randhir never expressed his feelings in front of anyone but the matter was totally different when it came to Karan. Randhir could never hide his feelings from Karan.
"Okay take care of yourself and miss me", Randhir said controlling his emotions.
"Yes dad. I will miss you a lot", Karan said sadly.
"I love you champ", Randhir said to enlighten Karan's mood.
"I love you too papa", Karan said and hugged Randhir tightly.
Dad and son stayed like this for some time.
Teacher called all the students and Karan came and sat in his bus. Randhir waved a bye to him with a smile though he was not all happy from inside. Staying away from his son for a 1 week long wasn't easy for him but he smiled only for Karan.
Karan passed a flying kiss to him and then the bus left for Roorkee.
After a tiresome journey of 3 hours, the students finally reached their destination.
"Welcome students. So I am Dhruv. I will be your co-coordinator for the event. For any queries please contact me or my other co-ordinate partner miss Sanyukta", Dhruv welcomed everyone with a smile.
"Okay sir", students said in unanimously.
"Okay now I would like you to introduce Mr and Mrs Suryavanshi. They are the organisers for the competition and your judges for each round", Dhruv said and everyone smiled at the duo.
"Welcome students or should I say geniuses? I know you are very smart and intelligent and so you are here. You will be tested for your intelligence in this competition. So are you all ready?", Vardhan asked them.
"For now you all may go to your rooms. Rohit please allot them their assigned room", Vardhan said to the helper and signalled him.
Everyone went to their respective room except Karan.
"Sir where is my room?", Karan asked rohit.
"Waha upar", rohit said and pointed towards the room upstairs.
"But mera room sabse lag kyu?", Karan asked confused.
"Woo...woh.. Actually...", rohit didn't knew what to say.
"Actually who special room hain jisme tum ek special person ke saath rahoge", Vardhan came from behind and answered his question.
"Dadu", Karan said and both shared a hug.
"Mujhe toh apse personally milne ka mauka hi nahi mila", Karan said smiling.
"toh aab mil lo", Vardhan said smiling. "acha apna room nahi dekhoge?"
"yes dekhna hai", Karan said and both of them moved to the room.
"wow. This room is so beautiful", Karan said smiling.
"pata hain kiska hain?", Vardhan said.
"kiska?", Karan asked excitedly.
"apke dad ka", Vardhan told him the truth.
Yes. Vardhan allotted Karan the same room in which Randhir and Sanyukta stayed at the time they came here. He has planned everything beforehand.
"dad? But how?", Karan asked confused.
"are sab kuch abhi jaan longe kya. Chalo bata hi deta hoon. Ek baar apke dad aur unki ek friend yaha par rehne aye the jab apka dad ne unki help kari thi", Vardhan told him truth though half only.
"oh. Dad ne kiski help kari thi?", Karan asked innocently.
Vardhan wanted to clear the doubts of the innocent soul but he knew that it might not be good for him so he stayed quiet and changed the topic.
"did you have your lunch?", Vardhan said diverting the topic.
"no", Karan said.
"then fresh ho jayo and come downstairs. Bahut sara acha acha khana banaya hain Niharika aunty ne", Vardhan said and left Karan to freshen up.
After 10 minutes everyone was having their lunch. Vardhan and Dhruv were talking while Niharika was busy with teacher incharges. Kids were enjoying with each other. Only person who was missing was Karan.
"Dhruv tumne Karan ko dekha?", Vardhan suddenly realised his absence.
"nahi toh", Dhruv said.
"kaha hai phir who. Let me check in his room", Vardhan said and went to check his room.
He came back panicked and went to Dhruv.
"Dhruv Karan apne room mein nahi hain", Vardhan said panicked.
"what? Kaha ho sakta hai phir?", Dhruv too got tensed.
"let's find out", Vardhan said and both went to search for Karan.
