Beautiful update MB...
Manorama's pain her grief is very raw after losing her son she is going to lose her daughter khushi also...Manorama wants khushi to grab that second chance which came knocking at her door which probably she didn't get...
Such amazing bond between manorama and nandu...
Arnav and khushi part was very sensuous... both giving to their desires...this time arnav is ready to fight the battle and take his khushi along with him...

Manoramawants to hold on to the last link she has with her son.
One can understand her pain and fear at losing Khushi too.
And Khushi is like a daughter to her.
I loved the first part of the chapter, MB.

The (almostWink) lovemaking scene was extremely well written.
One could feel this connection the two have.
They have a rare chemistry.
And one can understand Arnav's need to have Khushi with him completely and emotionally before going all the way.
One thing struck me while reading this.
I always thought Arnav left Khushi and went.
But now I discover that he left because Khushi asked him to go.
Why did she do that?
She must have had her reasons.
Because she was definitely in love with Arnav.

Waiting now for the next chapter to this intriguing story.
Never want it to end.
Hope it goes on and on!

I read your note at the end and just wanted to let you know you did really well for a first timer in affections department. :). I loved the whole update, especially the beginning with manorama and her feelings. Losing someone you love is always hard and some days you may feel like you cannot go on, but still you do, you have to. You have made me feel her despair. Great going!!

surprised to see kk on the list, but hey, thank you for this journey, i can't help but find myself here!

i can see why you stopped the previous chapter where you did... 'in the still of the night' had to be told... and felt... on its own. loved it!

coming to manorama, what an absolutely fantastic woman. so wise, so giving. in her pain, in her fears lie some one else's happiness, and she has no second thoughts in her decision. which she made in a fraction of a second. not only did she recognize her dependency, an attachment she had developed, but is consciously making a decision to let go. amazing. wise old woman, recognizing and accepting  life for what it is...

the make out was HOT! and in the middle of it, kushi says she  wants to be tied down to nk?Shocked what?!!!!
who am i to judge... although, can't help but notice, what a contrast to manorama! one willing to let go, and the other clinging on. to what? to whom? i don't know what it is to lose a parent at a young age, but obviously there is a lot of trauma. some insecurity, some fears mixed with God only knows what else. and it being a sensitive topic, pretending everything is ok is a lot more easier than addressing it...

may be, it is a feeling of belonging- of all the beautiful pictures one can paint in their head about what it would be like, living with their parents. of all those special moments, birthdays, picnics, celebrations... that would be perfect. a perfect happy childhood, that was denied. if they stop thinking about it, then they are truly an orphan in every sense. where will they belong? who will they go to? who will love them unconditionally?
and clinging on to nk is probably because there were happy moments with him, a feeling of belonging, a family to live every day with. love to share. moments to share. dreams made...

attachment in the form of love, culture, tradition, fears, insecurity etc., are always there. until one recognizes it and makes a conscious effort to nip it, it won't go away, instead it grows until the thinking itself is completely twisted. can a lavanya help kushi? no. after all, one can only lead the horse to a pond...

sadly, a lot more people go through life justifying their actions/ thoughts, even resigning themselves to 'fate', but making no attempt to change the course... well, i look forward to kushi's awakening, after all a problem is only as big as one wants it to be...

But you know MB, I thought a lot about Khushi's character from last night.

Happiness does not come easily for everyone in life. Many of the times we have to fight for it.

Khushi was still young when she lost her parents. Though fate snatched her parents away, destiny filled that gap by giving Khushi her aunt's love.

Then comes Arnav into her life. She was probably on top of the world when she found Arnav, his love and passion. Whatever the reasons were, fate again snatched him away from her. She again resolved to loneliness and sorrow and thought she was too broken to get happiness again.

Destiny again brought NK into her life, who stood put, pulled her out of her depressed state and made her fight for their share of love and happiness.

Fate again took NK away from her.

Now she has come to a conclusion that this is her fate. Loneliness and sorrow are her permanent companions.

Even though love and happiness is calling her again, yet she does not want to embrace it because deep down she has decided that being happy is not in her fate or destiny.

This is not at all uncommon. This kind of nature is present in almost everyone of us.

Known sadness is better than fighting for unknown happiness.

I feel its the same condition with Khushi too. She has become too comfortable in her loneliness, sorrow and the widow tag.

How should Arnav convince her that she has to fight this demons inside her? Will his declaration of his love for her be a stimulus for her to fight for her share of the happiness? Will Meera's bonding with Arnav and Mohan be enough for her to embrace destiny again?

Why K, this is a story in itself! Big smile
@ bold, couldn't have said it better... there is an acceptance, and a comfort in that acceptance, that honestly baffles me. but it is a sort of giving up, because there always is an underlying sadness in such people...

Woh phir nahi aate, who phir nahi aate!

Khushi is obviously still caught in her time warp...she wants to let go, but her conscious mind construes this as NK, to Manorama, to Meera and to her world as she knows it now. A normal thing to happen when people live their lives in a fragile and safe she has been doing over the last three years since her husband passed away...being strong for her family, and trying to keep them all safe and carry on as 'normal'.

Arnav cannot understand where she is coming from to begin with...he has seen this hesitation before...but is much more rooted in reality and tells it like it is when he says this is not infidelity. She is a widow and he is a divorcee. Beautiful. But decidedly a turning point in their relationship that shows progression in its own right...he curbs his anger and impatience that makes him want to turn away and he did previously...he comes back and makes Khushi hold NK's ring...and then goes back to where he was standing. Poignant. For me more than all those kisses and touches - and by the way, don't even hit yourself about that, you did such an outstanding job describing all those intimate moments - this gesture of Arnav's symbolizes how far he has come as lover, friend, soulmate. Difficult as it must be for him, he wants to put Khushi and her feelings first...this time he wants it all, and something tells me, with such an amazing level of insight and caring he will blow her mind and ensure she will come right back every time without too much more effort. Yes, he might need the intervention of the perceptive Manorama, or his son or her daughter or his doting grandmother - but ultimately, his happiness will walk back to find him, all on her own. Because she simply cannot help it...reminds me of Anjali's famous words in the show...about saansein rukh jaayegi - trite words they may be, but with a truth that that is obvious to anyone who has ever had feelings for anyone...

Cannot wait to see how you turn this journey into one where they find one another, Mirabell. The gossamer of melancholy needs to lift for sunshine and happiness to come in. Hope that happens soonish. Yes, this will mean transition for all involved, but I seriously believe they are close enough as families to endure and get strengthened because of this new relationship.

Loving this, and totally adore your Arnav Singh Raizada...among my all-time favorites of the many beautiful ones we have had the pleasure of reading about in all the forum's fan fictions!

i absolutely love your thoughts.
@ bold, i agree, this was the most touching moment, not to mention how well it stands out. how perfectly, with no words at all, our dear man has communicated that it kushi can have her nk, and still be with him. not just comfortable in his skin, but confident that his love is enough and more for both of them. yes, yes, yes, totally adore this man!
