You have been so generous with your willingness to understand my predicament. Thank you. Thank you for being patient, thank you for understanding.
I am traveling across the globe in the next couple of days. And this update will be ready before the weekend. :)
Here is a little peek into whats coming up next...
Chapter 25
"Meera, will you please stop moving on the swing honey? Ready? Mommy is going to take this one off." Khushi waited for a response from her child.
"Meera?" There was clearly exasperation in Khushi's voice.
"Err... I would use this distraction to my advantage if I were you." There was a smile on his voice now.
Was he laughing at her? She refused to look up at him. She could feel his eyes on her neck, the hair on it could attest to his attention. She felt her face grow warm.
It was almost late afternoon and the summer heat was palpable on the verandah. The trees provided a buffer as the slow summer breeze wafted, un-tucking an errant strand of hair from behind her ear. Before she could tuck it back she felt his fingers graze her cheek. She found herself looking into his laughing eyes.
"What? A moratorium on looking at me?"
"I don't know what you are talking about."
But she did know.
