I don't know why one of them said to protect his son. Maybe his son is part of the same organization still in Vancouver. Or maybe be meant it in general terms to show his son to always stand up for himself. I don't know.
Shiamak's response was weird. He denied the allegations and that was fine. But then he went on to say that he wasn't the leader of the said organization and if these boys felt that way it was on them? Did he know at the time that the boys were under the wrong impression, and did he do anything to correct them? The part of his answer gave a weird vibe about this whole thing.
They are filing in Canada because that's where they live. I don't think Canadian authorities can so anything in India but he'll probably get arrested if he ever comes back to Canada. The best they can hope for is monetary compensation and to have Shimak lose his prestige and position.
