Darshan Jariwala replaces Uday Tikkekar in Zee TV's Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani

Drashti Dhami fans out there must be going through a sad phase, with their favourite actress being out of limelight post her stint in Colors' Madhubala.
Well, guess the countdown to seeing Drashti yet again on the TV tubes has begun!!
Drashti's upcoming show, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani on Zee TV will soon go on floor, is what we hear.
As of now, the team is finalizing the prime cast. Yesterday, we came up with an exclusive article on Surekha Sikri getting on board the show.
We now hear that there is a replacement happening when it comes to the actor playing Drashti's on-screen father...
Tellychakkar.com had earlier reported about Uday Tikkekar playing the role of the female protagonist's father. But we now hear Uday is out of the show, and it will be another seasoned actor Darshan Jariwala, getting into the skin of the character.
When contacted, Darshan confirmed the news, "Yes, I will be seen playing the main girl's father in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. It is a very interesting show, set up at a period when India had not got its independence."
We could not get through to Uday, but it is said that he had few date issues. Hence he could not be part of the project.
Darshan's character will be of a rich money lender who would be lending money to princely states. He will dote on his daughter, and will believe that she will achieve a lot in her life.
Darshan is presently seen in Sony TV's Mooh Boli Shaadi.
Drashti will be paired opposite Siddhant Karnick in the show. While Anita Raj will play Siddhant's mother, Moon Banerjee will essay the role of Drashti's mother.
