She won a million hearts with her performance in the famous television serial, Madhubala. And now, she just broke all of them by embracing matrimony. Yes, we are talking about none other than the famous television actress, Drashti Dhami, who tied the knot with her long-time beau, Neeraj Khemka, on February 21, 2015. The two had a Hindu wedding ceremony, in Mumbai.

The pre-wedding celebrations
Going by the Hindu traditions, the couple had various pre-wedding functions in Mumbai. Just like any soon-to-be married couple, Drashti and Neeraj too looked highly elated as well as excited.

Haldi ceremony
The wedding celebrations kick-started with the haldi ceremony, and was attended by their close friends. The actress looked truly spectacular in her red and gold outfit while the groom complemented her perfectly in an elegant combination of maroon and white. The two had a gala time at the ceremony and posed candidly for the pictures.

The grand sangeet
After haldi, it was the time for a grand sangeet ceremony for our Madhubala. The function was attended by several famous television celebrities including Sanaya Irani, Mouni Roy, Nakuul Mehta and Sanjeeda Sheikh. Dressed in a bottle green saree and a laced blouse, Drashti look absolutely sensuous.
As per various reports, the beautiful bride teamed up with her bestie, Sanaya Irani, to give a rocking performance at the do. It is also believed that Nakuul Mehta and his wife Jankee, gave a salsa dance performance at the event.

Following the grand sangeet party, the bride had a private mehendi ceremony.
The wedding day
Finally, it was the big day for this adorable couple, and the stage was all set at the lavish Sun N Sand Hotel, in Mumbai. It was a day wedding for the couple. The actress looked truly stunning as she was dressed in the colour of the year- marsala.

The story-line of the upcoming period drama... 'Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani' is interesting. It is set in the backdrop of a bankrupt Royal family of Ameerkot, which is headed by Rajmata and Rana Indravadhan Singh Deo (Siddhant ).Gayatri (Drashti Dhami), a Manglik, hails from a rich family but is considered unlucky... coz of her birth time and apparently has no future. To cope with loss in fortune, Rana marries Gayatri in exchange for money as she is the daughter of the state's biggest money lender - Gopal Seth.
There's another twist... Rana, a grief stricken widower is still in love with his dead wife and Gayatri soon realizes that hers is not a fairy tale wedding. The rest of the story centers on how a girl with no future wins the Ranaji's heart and that of her people to become the states' most loved queen.
After her sparkling chemistry with co-stars Gurmeet Choudhary in Geet Huyi Sabse Parayi' and Vivian DSena in Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon', will Drashti ignite the same fire with Siddhant in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani'? We sincerely hope so!
