As a songwriter, Mayur has closely worked with multiple award winning composer Pritam and together they have a given tons of super-hit songs in recent past including the much successful album for Race 2 (2013) starring Saif Ali Khan, Singh Is Kinng (2009) starring Akshay Kumar & Pyaar Ke Side Effects (2006) starring Rahul Bose & Mallika Sherawat.

Pritam & Mayur found success as a Musician/Lyricist Duo with his very first song for Chocolate. A barrage of hits followed - Garam Masala,[21] Pyaar Ke Side Effects,[22] Fight Club,[23] Singh is Kinng,[24] Jannat 2, Race 2, Shaadi Ke Side Effects.[25]

According to recent Times Poll, Be Intehaan from the movie Race 2 was ranked as the 7th most Romantic songs of 2013.[26]

Mayur also worked with the Oscar Award winning musical maestro A. R. Rahman twice. Both the songs 'Aaj Dil Gustakh Hai' for Blue and 'Alive' (Hindi version - Zindagi) for 'Provoked (film)'[27] starring Aishwarya Rai were received well.
