A lot of films have released this year. Some have done well at the box office, most have sunk without a trace. Unfortunately for the industry, no Hindi release this year has taken a bumper opening and none have crossed the 100 crore mark.

Dil Dhadakne Do' and ABCD 2 are two films that are expected to do well, but the industry is desperately in need of a huge 140-150 crore grosser, which is too much to expect from both those films.

All eyes will then be on arguably the biggest superstar in the industry today, a megastar whose films mark the re-opening of several single-screen theatres across India.

Salman Khan who is very much in news these days due to his hit and run case is again in the limelight for his upcoming film Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Salman will be playing the lead role in the movie opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan.

The movie is in its final schedule and will soon go for post-production. Apparently, there are rumors that the Dabangg star will stay away from the film's promotions and media events.

The reason cited for the same is, the actor believes that the media won't focus on his film Bajrangi Bhaijaan and will rather question him on his recently in news hit and run case. However, there has been no clear response on this matter from Salman's team.

The actor is breathing a sigh of relief from the chaos of his case and does not want to face media interactions regarding the same.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan directed by Kabir Khan is a love story between a Brahmin woman portrayed by Kareena and a Muslim man played by Salman Khan. The movie will hit the screens on Eid i.e July 17 this year.

Nevertheless only time will tell whether we will get to see Salman at the movie promotions or no!
