Universal praise for Deepika  👍🏼- she needs to let her work do the talking  - she does not need that lame PR team of hers.

I find Deepika and Irfans interaction offscreen to be really endearing. More from Irffan's POV...there seems to be a respect that he holds for Deepika...that says a lot about her work

Piku 6th Day Box Office Collection

"Piku" starring Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan in the leads is climbing the ladder of success at the box office, thanks to its content. The family entertainer, which opened to positive response from critics, celebs and moviegoers, has minted Rs 33.72 crore from its five days theatrical run. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the film opened with decent occupancy on Friday, but the box office collection climbed the hill like nursery rhyme characters "Jack and Jill." And from second day, the film dominated the box office with housefull shows. From its five days run, "Piku" accumulated whopping Rs 33 crore from just 1300 screens in India. Piku passed the Monday test as it remained strong on the fourth day but experienced a drop on Tuesday. The film collected 4.10 crores on its fifth day, thus taking its total to 33.72 crores at the domestic box office.

The film has been extremely strong at the multiplexes. The word of mouth for Piku is excellent and since the film is a light-family entertainer, there is also a good chance of having a repeat audience. Deepika Padukone has a huge fan following and hence the film has everything working for it. Piku has received positive responses from most of the critics and audience and the word of mouth took its business upwards with the occupancy improving considerably in the later shows on the Sixth day itself. "Piku" collected Rs 3.75 crore* nett at the Indian box office on the Sixth day or Day 6. Meanwhile, Actress Deepika Padukone is palying main female lead actress role in this awesome movie. Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan are playing main male actors in this movie.

Piku is holding very well on weekdays.According to early estimates Piku Wednesday box office collection will be around 3.80 crore.




Piku has shown a very limited drop on Wednesday.Now it stands at grand total of 37.52 crore after six days.The trend for Piku is excellent and it is best for any film released in 2015.

It will cross 40 crore after first week and thus it will become the fifth highest grossing film of 2015 in just 7 days which is a huge achievement.

Going by the response Piku is here to stay, and it can go as big as 65-70 crore net lifetime but a lot will depend upon this Friday release Bombay velvet.Nonetheless it will have a decent second week despite the competition though BV will cut some amount from Piku collection.

As per twitter the movie needs 60cr to be a hit and 85 cr to be a superhit
I don't know whether that figure includes international collection too which is huge in case of Piku

Piku 6th Day Response & Collection

piku poster hdWith pretty good response and excitement from audience, Piku is running normally on big screens these days leading the other co release Kuch Kuch Locha Hai. Movie released on comparatively low number of screens then the biggies and performed well enough by now. Starring Bollywood famed actress Deepika Padukone & megastar Amitabh Bachchan along with versatile actor Irrfan Khan; movie has won hearts of many viewers because of sweet story and suitability for all age groups of audience whether kids, youth or family audience.

On its first Wednesday i.e. sixth day it managed to make income of around 3.85 crores*. Movie did nice performance in the opening weekend specially Sunday but then started falling in the weekdays. Today is Wednesday and marks 6th working day for the film. Day being a weekday could not trench much of its expected income but still closed down at normal figures with average occupancy in the cinema halls and theatres.

Where music of film got good likes from the viewers and the chartbusters these days, actual performance of the film and audience feedback towards it has been not that high collection wise but still satisfactory considering positive reviews. After giving a bit of competition to other co release which lagging behind the race from first day of release, movie is now facing low earning due to non weekend time.

On the positive part, film has gained lot of appreciation and popularity for its catchy story that everyone is enjoying these days. Film has got good response due to its star cast also. As a normal budget and non masala film and even after releasing with other comedy movie KKLH and having Gabbar Is Back in competition, this film has still managed to make its place and this is a good point in its favor.
