25 crores domestic + 14 crores international. Those are the weekend numbers. Don't know about the Monday collections. They seem to have already recovered the budget (32 crores)...so from Monday onwards it's all profit, I guess.

I saw Piku yesterday. A very lighthearted story of a father and daughter and their dynamics with each other. They shout at each other all the time, trying to assert their dominance, yet cannot hear a word against the other.

Amitabh Bachhan is a parent who has reached the age of being a baby, with his own ideals about life and marriage.

The movie is set in the bustling Bengali Residence of CR Park and their journey to their hometown Kolkata.

Irrfan has done a splendid job. It was really great to see after a long time the story being prioritized against glamour. You could form a connection.

Splendid job by the makers and the actors. I say, do watch it.

Absolutely LOVED it. :)

Piku showed huge growth of 65% plus on Saturday which is extraordinary. It is very rare that this sort of growth happens. The first day business hardly gave the film a chance but day the phenomenal growth on day two has changed the scenario.The approx first four day business of Piku is as follows.

Friday - 5,00,00,000

Saturday - 8,50,00,000

Sunday - 11,00,00,000

Monday - 4,25,00,000

TOTAL - 28,75,00,000

The film will have the third highest first week collection of the year as it head towards a 40 crore nett first week total.

No Surprise as Irfan's film start slow & then picks up on WOM only in premium multiplexes... rest everywhere it's dull... It's a Critic film, no doubt they putting their best in boasting it with overall 7.5/10 ratings.
