I'm Highly inactive in the forum. Can't help it. Sorry.
So here comes an OS by me, hopefully you'll like it.
"Against the Odds"
"Sanyukta, please table up the breakfast." Said Randhir, fastening his tie as he brushed his hair.
"Haan ji, Doing it." She mumbled, just like the nave girl, who she once was.
As the table was set, Randhir came up to sit at the table, while she served him his food.
"Sanyukta, aap please sit down, I can serve myself." Those words left his mouth without any expression, as she followed his instruction to just sit down quietly, feeding her those self made chappatis.
"Aap ajj office sey kab ayenge?" Her timid voice broke the trance of wordless eating, as he looked up from his plate to her face.
"Ajj, around 7bajje. Kyu?" He frowned.
"Woh...actually.." she fumbled, "Mere...mere friend ke ghar humara Graduation celebration h... aap jaoge kya mere saath?" She looked at him hopefully.
It was not like that Sanyukta was a burden upon Randhir.
He really adored her, but the fact that they had been merged up due to an arranged marriage, and that their age difference was a big wall upon their relationship was being felt by not only him, but her too.
She was 23, he was 31. The eight years separation, which once had been common in couples, was not that into ease with them.
Sanyukta respected him tremendously. Not because just that he was her husband, but because she'd known him from quite long before.
He lived in the neighborhood, and was a quite daily visitor in their house. When one day their marriage was decided, she hadn't objected because she knew what kind of a man he was, and that he'd already allowed her to study after marriage.
And they both loved each other. They'd given each other all personal freedoms.
Randhir equally respected her. But somewhere in the midst, they couldn't ease the bond, into being free or intimacy even after their 7 months after marriage.
"You can go without me if you want." Randhir smiled, "Waha toh sab waise bhi akele jayenge na..."
"Nhi... jayenge apne fianc ko leke... aap ayenge kya?" She asked again, hope glittering in her eyes.
"Haan thik h. Aap ready hoke rehna... I'll come home soon today."
Sanyukta flashed a smile to him in happiness, as he took his bag, and left for office in the car.
For Sanyukta, she was trying to be a wife Randhir had hoped to have.
She didn't leave any stone unturned to make him feel comfortable around her... so that they could open up to each other.
While Randhir, knowing how pampered she was as she grew up, pampered her with every possible thing.
They'd go shopping, or on tiny dinners, while she returned from university. He'd given her the freedom to dress as she liked, and wearing a saree or salwar suit was never a compulsion for her. She wore Kurtis or T-shirts with trackpants or just capris and pajamas in house... even knee length shorts in summers. Skirts were daily for her.
But she didn't know where, the thing just left unturned.
The respect could never obtain that friendliness that both of them wanted in their partners...! It was just a clinch in their perfect scenario otherwise.
It all came and ended at the difference of ages.
When Randhir came back home to freshen up and take Sanyukta to the party, it was 6.30 and he knew he should've been back by 6 at least.
Sanyukta opened the door with a smile. Though she knew they were going to be late, having Randhir with her in the party was all she wanted at the moment.
"Sorry, wohh..." He trailed as she cut him mid sentence.
"Koi baat nhi... aap jaldi sey fresh ho jao.. main abhi atti huun..." She smiled. She'd wore just the little makeup that she needed... drawn her eyes perfectly, and her lips were glossed.
Just maybe she was wearing her clothes when he'd brought her out to open the door.
He nodded and went to the washroom to freshen up... when he went back to return into his room, his lady was dressed in a Prussian Blue satin skirt teamed up with a Milky while netted full sleeved and turtle neck top... Her hair was clutched up in a butterfly bun secured with a white clutch... while a few strands of hair were made loose intentionally.
He was now dressed in a grey shirt and Khaki pants... She loved them when he wore those.
"Aap ready ho gye?" She grinned at him, as she saw him wear her favorite clothes on him. "Accha lag rha h..." She quipped blushing.
"Thank you." He smiled, and looked at her...
She'd always been this gorgeous.
Today he just wanted to make her feel loved too... because he did love her.
Knowing that she already did...
"Toh chale kya?" She looked at his figure, who stepped in front of her. She thought he was in the need of the mirror... little did she know that it was her need that was today in him...
"You're looking beautiful..." He quipped, looking at her eyes as she looked down... Blushing profusely.
"Tha"Thank you." She stammered , looking up.
He leaned down and kissed her forehead.
He'd felt the urgent need to do so...
"Randhir aap..." She looked up in suddenness...
In all these months he'd not even did that. EVER!
"Chale?" He kissed her cheeks, and pulled out her hands.
"Ek minute." She toed on her feet and kissed his cheek, already red with blushing so hard... and then rubbed his cheeks once to erase those lipstick marks...
While he was taken aback at her reciprocating... he smirked at her stance.
"Chalet e h..." She quipped finally.
Against the odds, they met; they were married off... but against those odds of ages and the craving to be each other's perfect other half did the barrage of age come up... When they tried to dissolve it into the ease of motions, that's when the tale of little little intimacies start in between this duo... Randhir and Sanyukta.
p.s. I don't send pms.
