SRK didn't deserve award for DTPH, KKHH, Devdas, OMO. I wud certainly for for Hrithik in Lakhshay over SRK in swades. Lakshay is so underrated. it was such a realistic type of movie. a boy with no ambition, goofing around and then set a target in battlefield and achieve it. SRK deserves for CDI. though that year all of them were really gud but CDI was one really deserving one.

I think kajol deserved it for all the movies she got.Maybe she was not that good in MNIK but saying that gidya should have received the award instead is not right.Anyways vidya has got awards which others deserved so its ok if she didn't get one award.
Seeing the contemporaries Srk shouldn't have received an award for dtph, swades and guru.

SRK definitely deserved it for CDI and Swades. I think both deserved it for DDLJ too. At that time it was something different.

Most undeserving was SRK's Critics Award for Mohabattein in 2001. ๐Ÿ˜† Edited by .Hajmola. - 8 years ago

Kajol definitely deserved for Kuch Kuch Hota hai and Fanna
She won for DDLJ because that was a whole big revolution! You know, a game changing film!
She in a way deserved for that film.

Also you should realize the difference btw POPULAR and CRITICS award Filmfare! For former, performance needs to be strong and popular and film should be known! Critics award is given to performance that has been remotely unknown!
So with that perspective its justified!

Her win for MNIK was totally bogus (though I wished for the same in a way)

There is a reason why Awards in India are bogus and a laughing stock. A lot people dont seem to get it even here.
You give the award to the best acting performance not how gamechanging the said role is.

Did RDJ win an oscar for Iron-Man??

Or even better examples...
Did Harrison Ford for StarWars, Indiana Jones or Blade Runner?? Though imo he desrved nominations for Raiders and Blade Runner and atleast one win.
Did Elijah win for LOTR??

Find me more game changing, impactful or Iconic roles. You cant.

That is why Oscars abd the Globes are credible.

DDLJ was iconic
KKHH was iconic
so you agree that those films deserved the awards? (for me they do)

Right now we might seem to think that those films were chessy, not deserving of awards because such films are too common these days BUT THEN those films were something new, something different!
So Kajol and SRK deserved award for those films

No they didnt. Simply becuase the performaces were nowhere near others those year.

When I said Harrison deseved those award, I meant that he want spectacular in both movies. Terrific performances.

Being an Iconic movie has nothing to do with acting.

KKHH is not iconic. it has already failed the test of time miserably.

And I by no means am comparing DDLJ or all these movies to the brilliance of Indy, Starwars, LOTR.

Trust me I know, there couldn't be a bigger insult to the latter if I tried.
